Continue ReadingI watched Ahria Mehta Ahria Mehta 5’5″ | PG Dominion | 2025 VA at the Chick-fil-A invitational last May, and she was one of the more impressive guards there. Ahria’s IQ and quick hands on defense were great. Ahria can shoot the ball with great range and is one of the more accurate passers I’ve seen. Keeping your head up and finding open players is one thing, but delivering passes accurately makes it much more important. Dominion struggled this year, which may be why Ahria has yet to get much recognition, but she still finished first team in the Dulles district and second team all-region.

Elizabeth Thornton Elizabeth Thornton 6'2" | C Loudoun Valley | 2025 VA
Elizabeth Thornton Elizabeth Thornton 6'2" | C Loudoun Valley | 2025 VA
Loudoun Valley’s youth and talent made them a team to watch for me this year. Junior Center Elizabeth Thornton Elizabeth Thornton 6’2″ | C Loudoun Valley | 2025 VA has played varsity for three years straight and was great for Valley this season. Elizabeth is a great defender with her length and athletic ability. She passes well out the post, and Valley runs its offense through her at times. Elizabeth finished first-team all-district.
Reagan Skorupski Reagan Skorupski 5'6" | SG Stone Bridge | 2025 VA
Reagan Skorupski Reagan Skorupski 5'6" | SG Stone Bridge | 2025 VA
Reagan Skorupski Reagan Skorupski 5’6″ | SG Stone Bridge | 2025 VA finished Second-team all-district in the Potomac district and was the engine for a state quarterfinal Stone Bridge squad. Reagan is a good three-point shooter and can handle the ball. She is a good rebounder for her size and a scrappy defender. Reagan is a player that I expect to have a great spring/summer for LBA Attack, and I see her taking a leap next season.
Tuscarora Guard Delainey Duggan Delainey Duggan 5’5″ | PG Tuscarora | 2027 VA had an outstanding Freshman season. She is a great shooter and ball-handler. Delainey hit big shots this season and was terrific in the back half of this year. Tuscarora has a lot of talented underclassmen, and Delainey leads that. Delainey finished first-team all-district and second-team all-region. She will see a number next to her name within the next year or two.

Sophie Toole Sophie Toole 5'6" | CG Oakton | 2026 State VA
Sophie Toole Sophie Toole 5'6" | CG Oakton | 2026 State VA
If I had a pick for the most slept-on player in the state, it would be Oakton Sophomore Guard Sophie Toole Sophie Toole 5’6″ | CG Oakton | 2026 State VA . Sophie is one of the best perimeter defenders in the state and is a big reason why Oakton is so stingy. She is great at attacking the rim and does well as the primary ball handler. The second-team all-state selection had a great Sophomore season and is someone you need to watch yourself to understand how important of a player she is.
Eve Jungman Eve Jungman 6’3″ | C Washington-Liberty | 2026 VA is a double-double machine for a solid Washington-Liberty team. Washington-Liberty was a good defensive team this year, and Eve Jungman Eve Jungman 6’3″ | C Washington-Liberty | 2026 VA ‘s presence in the paint on defense was significant for them. Eve has a nice mid-range jump shot and is a good finisher. Eve makes her impact in many ways. Washington-Liberty can run their offense through her in the post, or Eve can do great work on the offensive glass and get putbacks. She finished first-team all-district and second-team all-region. With Eve’s size and skill, she will be a player to watch for the next few years.
