Coach Coffee may play up at times and with having no juniors on the team, the majority of his schedule is 16U. He is wanting to see how much progress they make while playing against their own grade level.
According to Coach Coffee, their body language shows they want to be there and they work as hard as anyone. This group loves the game and Coffee is excited for this style of play. They just want to get better. A young hungry team ready to go at it on both ends of the court.

Players to Watch
Caroline Long
Caroline Long
A post player who is a true post player. Good footwork and can use either hand just as equal. She is a rim-runner, rebounds and can go coast to coast and finish. Her game has really improved over the last year, she was a JV player as a freshman and exploded to a first-team all conference team as a sophomore. Even with all the early accolades, she is willing to continue to work and improve her skills.
A kid who is also a distance runner and has run seven miles and then came to practice and didn’t miss a beat. Great stamina and work ethic. Plays at a high D1 high school as a swing player. She wants more and her practice shows that, desire to move up. She attended the PGH event last fall. Always asks to guard the opponents best offensive player. Can play though contact and draws fouls, gets to the rim. Versatile who can play 1-3 because of her size and handles.
Highlights
Carly Strayer
Carly Strayer
She is a returning player with
Team Ohio
and this year will be one of the leaders as one of the older players. She is a true power forward on the offensive end and capable of guarding the 4-5 player. Plays well with both her back to the basket and facing the rim with her footwork and moves. Never takes a play off, values doing what she can at both ends of the court. She is an outstanding rebounder, she isn’t stationary and believes every ball off the rim belongs to her.
Celeste Borchers
Celeste Borchers
A freshman who saw significant minutes on a regional qualifier team. Earned a starting spot as the season progressed. Very coachable with a great attitude and her work ethic rubs off. Ideal 3-player because of her size and strength but she is starting to possess a good perimeter shot and can attack the rim with a vengeance. Tremendous upside with her off-season work ethic when no one is watching. Is able to play the point if needed.
Charlotte Rushe
Charlotte Rushe
She plays with Leo at Centerville and as a freshman, her game grew as the season progressed. Has a good shot and she has expanded her range which will add to her game. Her length helps her play both sides of the ball well. She is the sleeper of the team as Charlotte can be a player who should add to her tools.
