Julianna Baskin Julianna Baskin 6’2″ | PF Providence | 2026 State FL was a standout player at Southern Jam. Baskin helped lead her high school team to the Final Four this season and while a lot of players would settle for that accomplishment, the lost in the State semifinals has fueled Baskin and teammates. Baskin showed a lot of versatility to her game, spending a lot of time out on the perimeter. She demonstrated how her game is expanding out to the perimeter. She showed great hands, great footwork and an ability to score from anywhere on the floor. Defensively, Baskin defended on the inside and out. Her versatility was not just on the offensive side but also on the defensive end.
Mia Chandler Mia Chandler 6’0″ | PF Mandarin | 2026 State FL played well and really looked poise and mature out on the floor. Her demeanor and confidence were eye catching as well. Chandler ran the floor very well and has some nice finishes in transition. She looked good in the pick and roll game and had some nice finishes. Chandler is a rebounding machine, especially on the offensive end. She gets a ton of second-chance points and extra possessions for her squad.
Morgan Cremen Morgan Cremen 5’8″ | PG Beachside | 2026 State FL was handling business dishing the rock and getting steals. As good as her offensive game is, Cremen always makes plays on the defensive end. If the opposing guard is loose with the dribble, that ball is going the other way. She does a good job on the offensive end. Cremen is always under control and makes good decisions with the ball from the point guard position.
Highlights
Mimi Ross Mimi Ross SF FL was a young player that really caught our eyes. Ross looked the part and better yet- she played the part. Ross just glides on the floor and all of her movements are just so coordinated and smooth. Ross was a beast taking the ball to the basket and knows how to finish. She was very skilled at maneuvering through the defense and can finish with euros, floaters, and explosive moves to the basket. The biggest surprise about Ross was the grade reveal – 9th grade. Her game looks more mature than 1 year removed from middle school. Ross is special and she is a player to watch.
Nina Kamma-Hill Nina Kamma-Hill 5’4″ | SG Paxson | 2025 State FL played well at Southern Jam and showed a lot of skill at the point guard position. Kamma-Hill made good decisions in the 5 out offense and did a good job of getting to the rim. She also put pressure on the defense in the pick and roll. Kamma-Hill can also shoot the three and can also shoot the midrange. She has good speed and does a good job of leading the break.
Makala DesJarlais Makala DesJarlais 5’11” | PF Bishop Kenny | 2027 State FL was a Standout at the Sunshine State Showdown. Offensively, she did a lot of things well. DesJarlais can handle the ball and can get to the rim in a hurry. She demonstrated it on the baseline and from the top of the key. If that wasn’t impressive enough, DesJarlais broke the press as the primary ball handler. She was solid in the pick and roll game and was strong with the ball when she got it. DesJarlais also got good position down on the blocks and scored over and through her opponents. She passed it well when the defense collapsed on her in the paint. The power forward was also strong on the offensive and defensive boards. She was also good on the defensive end and show a lot of versatility defending on the inside and also guarding wing players out in space.
