Michigan’s top travel programs attended the event, which led to exciting matchups and impressive prospects on the court! One of my favorite aspects of AAU is seeing prospects who were hidden during the high school season, finally able to showcase their talent against their recruiting class. Here are a few 2026 breakout performers from Sunday.
Jenna Reed Jenna Reed 5’8″ | SF Toledo Christian | 2026 OH was an under-the-radar Ohio prospect who excelled for Mystics 26 S40 on Sunday at Battle in the Mitten. She was one of the best all around players on the court: drilling 3’s from multiple spots, blocking shots inside, rebounding the ball, making excellent reads/cuts off the ball, communicating, and distributing the ball to teammates. Jenna has a complete game that translates to the next level and was an exciting new prospect for me to watch on Sunday.
Highlights
Analiya Fields Analiya Fields 5’8″ | SG Hamady | 2026 State MI was an effective scorer for Mystics 26 S40 at Battle in the Mitten on Sunday. She created space off the dribble with a variety of moves and is just as dangerous shooting from deep off the dribble as the catch. Analiya knocked down a 3 from up top and created space to drain another 3 from up top at the buzzer. She sees the floor and can make cross court passes with either hand. Analiya will be a guard to follow this spring.
Makayla Schlorf Makayla Schlorf 5’4″ | PG Tecumseh | 2026 State MI hit the ground running with an impressive day at Battle in the Mitten for Michigan Drive Premier S-40 Saldana on Sunday. She has an endless motor on both ends and ripped the ball away from her opponent before driving hard to the basket to force a foul. Makayla knocked down FT’s, drained many 3’s at a very efficient clip, and accelerated through the defense to score in the paint. She communicates constantly and plays with a toughness/determination every coach wants on their team. Her breakout Varsity season translated directly to the travel circuit on Sunday.
Highlights
Aubree Allen Aubree Allen 6’0″ | PF Parma Western | 2026 State MI was a top performing power forward for Michigan Drive Premier S40-Saldana Sunday at Battle in the Mitten. She finished a contested left hand layup, knocked down a shot from the elbow, and used an excellent drop step to finish around her defender inside. Aubree finished multiple offensive rebound put backs including an and one where she also hit the FT. She swatted a shot in the paint and will be a post prospect to keep your eyes on this spring.
Danica Dwyer Danica Dwyer 5’6″ | PG Owosso | 2026 State MI was dialed in for Michigan Drive Express S40-Doneth Sunday at Battle in the Mitten. She buried a corner 3 and hit another wing 3 off the catch with a quick release. Danica scanned the court and made effective passes under pressure to keep the offense moving. She plays smart on both ends and knows when to shoot, pass, or reset the offense. Danica will be a CG to follow very closely this spring season.
