To show that it’s never too early to see who are some of the up and coming prospects are, we are going to take a look at some Class of 2028 standouts from Missouri who caught our eye in the tournament. Most of these youngsters were playing up in the high school divisions and more than holding their own.
Jordyn Haywood Jordyn Haywood 6'0" | SF MICDS | 2027 MO (Phenom 15U EYBL): The 6’1″ guard is one of the most talented players in the country in the 2028 class. She is a three-level scorer who can also distribute the ball and be a playmaker. She is also a defensive presence with her length and athleticism. She’ll be headed to MICDS for high school.

Asa Lassiter (Phenom Springfield): A talented young guard from Lockwood who was very impressive with her offensive skill set and high basketball IQ. She could drive to the basket and draw contact to get to the free throw line. As the game went on, she displayed a nice shooting stroke from 3-point range.

Trista Van Horne (Phenom Springfield): A young post player who really knows how to operate on the interior. She has good footwork and she did a great job of sealing her defender and getting deep post position. She finished with a nice touch inside. She was also stepping out and hitting 3-pointers on the pick and pop.

Ainsley McWilliams (Phenom Springfield): A high energy guard from West Plains who really plays with a strong motor at both ends of the court. She reads defenses well and she’s always moving and finding the openings with her sharp cutting. She can also shoot it well from long distance and she does it with confidence.

Trinity Jackson (St. Louis Phenom): An impressive young point guard who has excellent speed and quickness and a high basketball IQ. She is excellent in the open court where she can create off the drive, pull up for the jumper or drop off the pass to an open teammate. She can also knock down open perimeter shots.

Gillian Green (Phenom 15U EYBL): A 5’11” forward who is playing up a level with the EYBL team and she held her own in her first experience. She has good size and is capable of playing the physical game inside. She can score inside and she also has good mobility.
