Take a look at my Saturday Standouts from the 15U Division.
Daijah Royston
Daijah Royston
Royston is a tremendous rebounder that loves to get downhill and go coast to coast with ball. High motor player that plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor. She did a good job slashing the lane where she often got fouled or finished at the rim. Finished the game with 12+ rebounds.
Bra’Laun Leavell
Bra’Laun Leavell
Leavell is a good outside shooter and defender with really good size and length. She was very effective scoring on fast breaks and distributed the ball well, making sure to get her teammates involved. I remember her leaving the game due to a hard fall, but checked right back in and hit a three to put the game out of reach.
Maliyha Bailey
Maliyha Bailey
Bailey came out the gates hot and knocked down a shot from long distance to start the game. She showed poise while running the point and used her handles and ability to change direction to keep defenders at bay. She also made timely passes and has a knack for getting her shoulders past defenders for points in the paint.
Chante Brown
Chante Brown
Brown was very aggressive on offense and always looked to score. She attacked the basket and drew a ton of fouls and took of her free opportunities. She had a tough And-1 basket in the first half and hit two 3-pointers in the game. Plays with passion and never backed down from the competition.
Curless is a finesse forward that scores well around the rim but can also stretch the floor with her outside shooting touch. She is a very good rebounder rim protector as well. She hit two triples and did a great job drawing contact that led to trips to the free throw line.
Highlights
Adelaide Dees
Adelaide Dees
Dees was great at getting to the basket, displayed a pull up jumper from the mid range and from beyond the arc. I recall her making scoring on back-to-back possession several times. Their was a point in the game where it seemed like the other team just didn’t have an answer for her. She has big time scoring ability if you leave her open she will make you pay every time.
