Danauje Brooks knocked down her shot from around the arc, and she didn’t back down from contact attacking the paint. Her tough on ball defense was making it tough for her opponents to even get past half court. She was always flashing up the court sneaking by her defenders to get the pass in transition and score some points. She can be the one making the passes up the court, too.
Highlights
Mckenzie Graves is so shifty with the ball getting to the rim with ease, and she makes sharp passes to her teammates hitting them in stride for their own points. She sees the floor well knowing when to make the pass or take it all the way herself. She knows how to read her opponents, too, being able to strip the ball from guards trying to get by her.
Highlights
Lanie Edwards was showing off her range shooting the ball from around the arc. She used shot fakes getting to the basket creating her own open lanes to hit some floaters. She did a nice job tying up the ball on a fast break drive preventing her opponent from getting any points at the rim. She is constantly moving on the court shifting the defense and finding ways to make plays.
Charlotte Tune was making such effective cuts getting the open look and being ready for the pass and bucket. She didn’t back down from contact, and she made sure her points counted from the free throw line. She knows how to make the smart passes up the court hitting her teammates in stride. She does a nice job controlling the tempo and directing her teammates where to go to get a play going.
Olivia Yancey is already a wise point guard knowing how to make some plays with the ball showing off her handles and getting to the basket. She directs her teammates where to go in order to find the open look. She had a nice old fashioned three point play late in the game right when her team needed to create some separation.
