The first eval period of the season has come to a close but boy was Day 3 overflowing with talent! Once again, I had my head on a swivel scouting incredible hoopers from all over the country, but especially from the Garden State. With college coaches from almost every major program in attendance, these ladies showed up and showed out!

Storrs has a BIG, TOWERING PROBLEM headed their way in 2025!! With UConn head coach Geno Auriemma sitting courtside, Gandy put on a show! At 6'5", she ran the floor hard and kept up with guards, posted up with full confidence and command, and had the defense clicking! Her versatility gave opponents fits today as they couldn't quite read her. You normally wouldn't expect a "big" to dive and scrap for loose balls, but Gandy got down and showed off gritty, hard-nosed, blue collar defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='583951' first='Brooke' last='Braen'] | [program_tooltip program_id='774068' first='NJ' last='Panthers']

Brooke's defensive prowess against the Runnin Rebels was something to see! She hounded, stalked and suffocated the ball handler by applying a heaping amount of pressure. Her active hands forced turnovers and ignited fast breaks going the other way. On offense, she handled the ball with care and control. Brooke definitely thrives in a run-and-gun pace, which she displayed today.

[player_tooltip player_id='333350' first='Gianna' last='Modica'] | [program_tooltip program_id='774068' first='NJ' last='Panthers']

A vocal leader, Gianna was in full command today running the point. She excelled in the mid-range, drilling some big shots from the elbow and helping her team pile on points. Her post-entry passes were well-timed and well-placed, feeding the beast inside for easy buckets at the rim. Gianna's constant communication showed off a sense of leadership and confidence that many players can learn a thing or two from.

[player_tooltip player_id='559031' first='Daniela' last='Maletsky'] | NJ Rise

At this point, nothing Daniela does surprises me anymore because she is SO TALENTED! She's one of those players that shocks you when she MISSES! This girl has all the goods, from sweet handles, to electric energy, to high-powered offense. She's a long and lean 5'10" with great reach to float up shots over defenders. She's a guard who's totally unafraid to battle for rebounds against the biggest and baddest, making a big impact on the glass.

[player_tooltip player_id='522661' first='Nicholle' last='Green'] | Philly Belles

Nicci had the ball on a string today vs NJ Rise! She sure knows a thing or two about shaking and baking opponents (and making them touch some Earth too)! She was dynamic running the point and didn't let defenders speed her up or get her out of her element. Her vision and the way she was able to fire off passes to cutting teammates was a thing of beauty! Nicci made smart decisions out there and found a good balance between taking shots and dishing dimes.

[player_tooltip player_id='525472' first='Casey' last='Collins'] | NJ Rise

Casey's ability to always remain cool, calm and collected stood out to me. She put on her best poker face and went to work! The way she locked in and focused on the task at hand was mature and impressive. On offense, she popped from deep and executed sharp cuts to the rim. She was constantly moving to free herself from defenders and get ample room to get off a good shot. Defensively, she understood the assignment and was disruptive in the passing lanes, keeping her hands active and her reflexes on point.
