Over the years, I have said “Please do not send me anything anyone else says” for 2 reasons, one, I’m not going to read it, and two, I don’t care as I remember ASGR ranking my daughter #287 at the guard spot, after seeing her yet she’s been in the W for a decade so I don’t play games, I don’t have agendas, and one more time “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against”
Who JUMPED?
Franklin sold me in middle school and I love her perseverance because no matter what the situation is, she finds ways to regroup and by her adding even more to her explosive scoring game had me going. Yeah, that mid to long-range jumper, her stop and op in transition as well as her “catch and shoot” has always been there but she’s seeing the floor and making those around her better which is always great. Off the dribble, she scores showing body control that at times defies gravity and her defense was more than solid
Jennings is “long and athletic” which will always be the base and watching her game from afar, no roster was needed, and seeing her continuously dominate from the offensive end was very nice for me to see yet more importantly for the next level coaches under the basket. She elevates and scores with ease around the basket, that also works from midrange as she drops it consistently with a hand in her face. Yeah, she rebounds on both ends but when she kept going coast to coast to score or dish, yeah that was special
Hampton went completely off a couple of weeks ago against some of the TOP TEAMS in Texas, shoe teams at that and when I have parents calling me about players, that’s parents from other teams, that means a lot so I have enjoyed her continuous improvement on the court, she made an earlier article from a couple of days ago see evaluation here
Egbuna has been showing me bits and pieces of a variety of things she can do, like dominate on both ends of the paint and score with players literally hanging on her for the past two seasons, yet her work ethic took her from a back to the basket decoy that rebounded and defended a long time ago. Now, she’s blocking shots and handling the ball after ward, as well as hitting the short jumper yet one of her biggest hits for me was her stepping outside the paint to defend guards, even coming away with steals and let me not leave out “diving on the floor” for loose balls
Jordan is the type of player I always wanted on my side because I didn’t play a lot of defense and I needed someone to make up for it but I saw that when she was 10 years old. She never takes a play off, you won’t outwork her and the thing is, she gets motivated when she knows she’s better than given credit for. Her handling the ball under pressure, well seeing the floor in transition as well, were both pluses, yet so was her jumper and attacking off the dribble to score. Yeah, her “on the ball” defense was smothering at times and there is no telling how high she will wind up being when it’s all said and done
Cloud is also “long and athletic” and yes, it’s steal the base yet her numerous steals from either using her quick hands while defending on the ball or just picking the ball out of the air playing the passing lane were on full display over the weekend. Her first step is very nice as she slices by defenders from the wing or wherever she wants to finish off the dribble, yes, after contact included. What I also liked was the “stop and pop” on a dime dime as she dropped it from midrange, she also applied heat “on the ball” defensively
