Game Watched: Banshees 2026 vs Cyfair
A traditional past first point guard, Chambers displayed a solid handle with the occasional counter (spin move) to break pressure and push the tempo or attack the rim. With her head up, she often set up her teammates with quality looks in transition along with a mixture of good feeds in the halfcourt. Some of the pocket pass type finds she made to cutters and post players especially stood out. It was a quieter scoring game, with a catch and shoot three among her notable contributions, but as a true point guard should she left her fingerprints all over the game with steady play and creation for teammates.

After a slow start, it was the physical freshman’s scoring around the rim that helped lead her squad to an overtime victory. She plays taller than her height with her ability to take contact and also understanding of angles on how to get shots off against taller foes. Which included a strong take to the rim in overtime. At last month’s 5A State Tournament she also displayed clutch scoring skills, which that time was from distance.

Shooters change games. And that’s exactly what Epps did during a second half stretch where she caught fire hitting three straight triples. She’s a true catch and shoot threat, with range that extends a few steps beyond the high school three point line. In the game watched, she finished with at least five made three pointers.

An unselfish point guard, Warford often looked to get the ball and go when she can. Which would lead to times that even off defensive boards that she could set up her teammates with good looks from three before the opposition was set. Her scoring was muted in the contest, but she did have a good drive and finish late in the first half. Hinting that she could provide a scoring punch to go along with table setting ways.

The first note on the taller sophomore guard came with the way she was fighting through screens and applying pressure on defense. Which combined with her consistent shooting from the perimeter in the contest (at least three made threes), indicates that Nail could have the upside to turn into a “3 and D” type off the ball/wing prospect. Especially as long with her good height, she has a lanky frame that could make very her disruptive on the defensive end.

Dillard was non stop motion as the lead guard her Flight squad. Not only was she distributing passes all over the place, she would keep moving following the passes with outstanding, heady off the ball movement that further created opportunities for herself and her teamamtes. Ball movement combined with off the ball motion can be a deadly combo and based on this contest, the Arkansas PG is already starting to master those traits. Along with her table setting, she also hit a nice, lefty floater after she pushed it in transition.

The scoring wing was very impressive in this contest, with a full scoring package. From drilling catch and shoot threes, to having a nice first step that allows her to get downhill in a hurry, Schmidt can really stress the defense. Especially as she plays to size as a physical and tough finisher. That mentality bled over to the defensive end, where she played big around the basket. While also having the lateral movement to make an impact along the perimeter. The rising sophomore looks to be a complete prospect, with a high ceiling.
