Expert Analysis
Sam Duren | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Joins with the previously mentioned Eischen to run the show for DC. Plays with her heads up and creates transition opportunities for her teammates with the tempo she plays at and accurate passing. Equally aggressive on the defensive end, using her quickness to harass on the ball. Was quieter as a scorer, but did get it going as a spot up shooter in the second half to really put the game away.

A quick guard that can shoot the outside shot. Great first step that get her plenty of paint touches. Scrappy defender that frustrates the opposing ball handler resulting in creating turnovers. Pushes the tempo baseline to baseline then making good decisions on reading the defense. A player that is flying under the radar somewhat. Expecting for her to have a good spring and summer as people will get to know her name.

Non stop motor on the defensive end set the tone for the game in a Saturday morning win. From picking up ball handlers and making them work, to hustle plays to save two points in transition, Epps left her mark on the contest. Which also included her pressuring the paint offensively, and flashes off good finishing. And even as fast as she is, Epps also understands that pitches ahead in transition are even faster. Which she does a good job of finding her teammates by keeping her head up and eyes wide open.

Game Watched: Team Oklahoma vs AAO Flight
Shooters change games. And that’s exactly what Epps did during a second half stretch where she caught fire hitting three straight triples. She’s a true catch and shoot threat, with range that extends a few steps beyond the high school three point line. In the game watched, she finished with at least five made three pointers.

This Sadie is always one of my favorites to watch, both on tape and in person. Another prospect who was an inevitable victim of the addition of over 80 new players to the rankings, Epps is still projected as a D-II prospect. Her hustle and heart are going to take her a long way. She will never be the tallest player on the court, but as I’ve said in previous write-ups, every team needs team leaders who are those “three-and-D” players. That title fits Sadie to a tee. She’ll get you a big shot when you need it. She’ll also absolutely lock down opposing ball handlers. Just a tremendous prospect and the type of player that every team needs.

video all day. She is never going to be the biggest player on the court, but she may show the most heart and hustle in any game that you watch her in. Epps is one of the few players from my “Twitter list” that I’ve seen in person (and still have notes on), so this evaluation isn’t entirely Twitter or Hudl based. I’ve seen her play some absolutely lockdown defense at the point with really quick feet and quick hands to occasionally grab a steal for her squad. Sadie is the kind of “Three-and-D, Heart-and-Hustle” player that any college team would absolutely love to have.
