Louisiana always has had "stars of tomorrow" that I loved to catch and I can back to when I saw Nekia Jones put on a show against DFW T-Jack who was a Nike team at the time, yet there were many others prior. I added [player_tooltip player_id='895598' first='Nazaria' last='Caldwell'] (Prime Tyme Family) and [player_tooltip player_id='906998' first='Jamyia' last='Stampley'] (Lady Savages 2027) to the All-Tournament team yet there were other standouts I want to give a shoutout to

Daniels is from Pineville and my relatives are from that neck of the woods yet watching her create her shot under pressure and show the mid to long-range while being defended was nice. What made everything even nicer was her deceptive first step to get the defender off balance so she could attack and finish, She also showed she could drop it using the "catch and shoot"

Wiggins falls into that hashtag I Iove to use which is #sizedontmatter because she can play. She immediately grabbed my attention with her "on the ball" pressure baseline to baseline. She had a nice first step to attack the basket and she finished after contact but she also showed she could drop the jumper while being defended and her court vision was solid

Hawkins also falls into that #sizedontmatter group and when you factor in she was playing up, her upside is nice. She's an athletic guard who uses her athleticism on both ends which is always good so the heat she brought on defense was nice and her energy level stayed the same but seeing her play the passing lane was a big plus, and so was her attacking and finishing after contact

Brown showed good court vision and plays taller than her listed height as she goes after everything off the rim. Her athleticism had something to do with that, and so did her DESIRE which you can't teach yet she also showed me the fadeaway jumper and scored off the dribble

Williams also plays taller than she is, yeah she BATTLES for everything, loose balls included, and has that "you won't outwork me" mindset, something else you can't teach. She scored around the basket against taller players, putbacks included, she attacked and finished from multiple spots and the pressure she applied baseline to baseline was also impressive

Wilson has the college-ready frame and she's showing bits and pieces that the next-level game is coming around but let me start with she stands above "the magic number" which will bring plenty of attention. She also defended well in the paint yet her lateral movement had me smiling as she guarded her man outside of it. Even more impressive was seeing her play the passing lane but her "hands and footwork" also need to be mentioned as she finished a few times around the basket

Louisiana always has had "stars of tomorrow" that I loved to catch and I can back to when I saw Nekia Jones put on a show against DFW T-Jack who was a Nike team at the time, yet there were many others prior.
