Dilworth gave me some “POWER IN THE PAINT” early and let me start with she’s a couple of inches shy of the magic number yet she plays as if she’s above it. Part of that is because she understands positioning, another part is her mindset and DESIRE so watching her BATTLE gave me a BOOST. She also finished around the basket, after contact included and she did a good job with her interior defense
Lara has been one of my biggest surprises this season and she never fails to leave me speechless yet gives me a lot to write about. She’s also a couple of inches shy of that “magic number” yet you wouldn’t know it without a roster. I enjoy her “hands and footwork” because that is #THROWBACK and believe it or not, it’s still effective yet I don’t see enough of it. She also understands how to seal the defender to score around the basket yet she also does that a number of ways, putbacks included. Yes, she rebounds on both ends and did a good job defending both in and outside the paint
Worcester showed how saucy her game was, see what I did, #ThereIsNoMe yet there a few of her walking around doing what she did. I love going back to yesteryear when players like this were prevalent and at 5’8, which is FOUR inches shy of “the magic number”, I got a kick out of her using her frame to score around the basket, with either hand. She mixed it up and attacked off the dribble, she also used that “understanding of how to get position” around the basket to rebound

Yates continues to elevate her game and after being reclassified to the 2026 class, her stock will continue to rise. She’s powerful around the basket and OVERPOWERS the defender to score yet her going after offensive rebounds gives me chills and thrills, she rebounds on both ends. She’s “vocal on the court” from the 5 position, who does that nowadays and is dropping the short jumper. What I really enjoyed was her attacking off the dribble showing more EXPOSIVENESS to get to the basket
Shatto was yet another player who is not at “the magic number” yet you’d never know by the variety of things she does around the basket. She understands how to use her frame inside the paint to score, at times after contact. She gets positioning to rebound, on both ends yet she showed she gave me a glimpse of a couple of other things to score, first by attacking strongly off the dribble and then showing me she could nail the midrang, while being defended

Lashley-Hill made my Tip Sheet last season, that search bar does wonders if you comprehend how to use it and let me say one more time, #TALENTISEVERYWHERE and when you factor in TEXAS IS A HUGE STATE, I was glad to catch her in action. She goes AFTA EVERYTHING off the rim, in fact she probably did it better than anyone at the event but her scoring around the basket with players literally hanging on her gave me an adrenaline rush, so did her scoring off the dribble after contact. Her timing has improved as she blocked, altered and even deflected shots plus her defense was solid
