These guards have proven themselves as dependable facilitators for their programs. Making plays on both ends of the floor, they are both quick and instinctive decision makers.

[player_tooltip player_id='374091' first='Aliyah' last='Herron']

Herron played a large role in Northfield's nearly constant success this past season, going 24-4 in 5A. A gritty group of aware defenders, Herron embodied that group's mold, quick on the help side or while at the point of attack. She held her own along the perimeter, rarely allowing any open looks, certainly not by lack of effort.

[player_tooltip player_id='361566' first='Eianna' last='Jackson']

Jackson's value defending opponents' best perimeter playmaker is no easy task, however the guard made opponents' lives quite frustrating to deal with at the point of attack. Her long strides and wide reach make her capable of defending both backcourt positions with ease, crowding shot attempts early on.

[player_tooltip player_id='361569' first='Alyssa' last='Ramos']

A high motor guard who is constantly on the prowl for rebounding opportunities, although undersized, Ramos does not shy away from contact in the paint. More than capable of facilitating a group's offense, she has continued to reaffirm her ability to handle pressure with the ball. Controlling the pace versus opponents, although she plays very fast, she is rarely sped up versus pressure at the point of attack. At the point of attack, she competes versus opposing lead guards, complemented by active hands to force opponents into tougher angles. Hardwood Gold has been off to a great start, in part from Ramos' impact on both ends as a high floor decision maker.

[player_tooltip player_id='374168' first='Saylor' last='Swanson']

Swanson has proven herself as a well rounded perimeter scoring threat, bringing in scoring gravity out beyond the arc. Effective leveraging her gravity for greater openings in the driving lanes, she stays consistent getting into the paint first, looking for kick outs and dump off passes to slashers. Defensively, she has repeatedly competed at the point of attack, bringing in disciplined defense. Gritty versus opponents, Swanson is willing to take bumps from opposing drives, getting up to swat away shot attempts when necessary. Landing in 6A top-40 for points per game, the lead guard was impressive throughout her third season at Arvada West.

[player_tooltip player_id='353323' first='Jaden' last='Lodice']

Lodice has been vital to Chatfield's shot selection, most often making her decisions on the attack towards the rim. Effective at luring out opponents for closeouts before attacking downhill, the guard is rarely sped up within the half court. Capable of utilizing spin moves to evade the defense, she showed soft touch on shot attempts high off the glass. Certainly an assertive guard who does not mind getting deep into the paint, Lodice and Chatfield will be a quickly progressing program next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='327670' first='Nevaeh' last='Lucero']

A diverse shotmaker inside the arc, Lucero takes advantage of small openings to convert attempts. Effective contributing layups through contests around the basket with either hand, she looks to attack full speed to create openings. Quick to plant for two-foot finishes in traffic, the guard looks for floaters, dependable maintaining her balance versus pressure.

These guards have proven themselves as dependable facilitators for their programs. Making plays on both ends of the floor, they are both quick and instinctive decision makers.
