She takes pride in staying in front of whoever she's guarding with quick feet and reactions. She also brings great vision to the court, looking to get her teammates involved. The combination of her ball-handling skills and her quickness allows her to attack defenders and get downhill, with some great skills at finishing in the paint. Her ability to shoot the ball well adds to the threat she is offensively. A former Defensive Player of the Year, she takes pride in giving great effort on the defensive end. She's also great at handling the ball, finding open teammates, works very well in transition, and can knock down shots on the perimeter. Esmerelda is a lights-out shooter, and has the ability to facilitate the ball when teammates are open, as well as get inside and rebound the ball well.
