[player_tooltip player_id='409003' first='Ally' last='Weathers'], Loretto – In the Region Semis, [player_tooltip player_id='409003' first='Ally' last='Weathers'] scored 29 points, and that made 3 straight games in which she scored a third of Loretto's points. She averaged nearly 20 a game while facing constant gimmicks, junks, and doubles.

Dycus' Honorable Mention: Abilyn Teter, Jr, Cannon Co – The junior was the District POY and a real game changer on both ends.

Meade: Again, I have to agree with Dycus. Weathers was exceptional and left it all on the court every time that she stepped on it. She definitely put on quite the performances and I expect her to have a huge senior season!

Dycus' List:

[player_tooltip player_id='805474' first='Jenna' last='Bush'], ‘24, Cannon County – The senior forward filled in all the gaps as the ultimate role player for Cannon County. On a team with [player_tooltip player_id='782176' first='Abi' last='Alexander'] and Abiliyn Teter, Bush's role wasn't to be a scorer so much as a connector. She's a IQ kid that simply made winning plays. She guarded the other teams best player often, was a high level rebounder, and took pride in doing the little things that didn't always show up in the box score. I thought [player_tooltip player_id='805474' first='Jenna' last='Bush'] had a tremendous senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='290977' first='Jenny' last='Clifton'], ‘24, Loretto – The 5'6 senior was the secondary scorer for a Loretto team that relies heavily on [player_tooltip player_id='409003' first='Ally' last='Weathers']. When Weathers was doubled, Clifton (and fellow senior [player_tooltip player_id='878066' first='Emily' last='Cozart']) put together incredible seasons–especially as playmakers/shooters that take what the defense gives them when they focus on [player_tooltip player_id='409003' first='Ally' last='Weathers'] (in the Region semis she had 12 points playing off [player_tooltip player_id='409003' first='Ally' last='Weathers']' 29 points).

Karlie Campbell, ‘24, Summertown – Summertown put together a tremendous season reaching substate. ‘24 Karlie Campbell led Summertown in scoring at almost 15 points a game. She was the team's leader all season, and the heartbeat of this squad. She scored 24 points in the 1st round of the Region tournament with 4 made threes.

Sophia Weathers – As a daughter of the Weathers family, I believe she was born already averaging 5 points a game (tough for an infant….but doable if you're a Weathers). She averaged 7 points a game on the season, and scored over 200 points. She was the 4th leading scorer on a Loretto team that's been sensational all season long.

Meade:

I have to agree with Dycus AGAIN! Weathers was sensational as a freshman! When I watched Loretto for the first time, I was left completely impressed with all of their players. Especially their young athletes and freshman Sophia!

Abilyn Teter ‘25 and [player_tooltip player_id='782176' first='Abi' last='Alexander'] ‘26, Cannon County – The high powered scoring backcourt will return next year….and bombs away. Both kids have a permanent green light, and have developed a really nice 1-2 punch chemistry.

[player_tooltip player_id='899853' first='Anna' last='Haskins'], ‘26, Community HS – The 5'10 sophomore wing has all the tools to be a college player. She averaged 16 a game this year, and scored nearly 500 points. She averaged nearly 2 made threes a game, and all while having the size and length to change games defensively.

Meade:

I'd definitely keep my eyes out for all of the underclassmen mentioned already! I would also add to watch [player_tooltip player_id='890228' first='Libby' last='Sanders'], [player_tooltip player_id='409003' first='Ally' last='Weathers'] (Our MVP) and the other young athletes at Loretto!

Dycus: Cannon County – I'm a sucker for high powered offenses that fly up and down the court, hunt open 3's, move the ball unselfishley, etc. The old Cannon teams under Coach Dodgen played that way and were always a favorite of mine to watch. Well, Cannon is back to their old “let it fly” style, and it worked well for them this season—proven by their sub-state birth.

Meade:

Loretto - I made a comment on Twitter (X) that this coach has all of her players dialed in. She has the athletes that will run through a brick wall! I love kids that play the game the right way. I think we can expect to see Loretto make a run again next year!
