Being a, "Show Stopper", can mean several different things. My definition of the term is that it's someone that can control all facets of a basketball game, while putting on a show for everyone who is watching. In this article we talk about five players that will be competing at the Midwest Extravaganza event this weekend. These five prospects are all considered Show Stoppers from what I've seen in the past and I can't wait to see how they fair over these next few days.

Hollins is a guard out of the 2028 Class, that is years above her age level in skill. She is a smooth conductor with the basketball and extremely skilled in most facets of the game. She has a silky smooth shooting stroke from all three levels, she can score off of the catch or dribble, she can take her defender in a 1v1 matchup against ANYONE that might step to her, and she is the definition of selfless. So much so, it's almost to a fault. At times she has a wide open layup and she will pass it up for her teammate to get a different look. This team has a handful of 2028 prospects that start for them and I'm excited to see what they all bring to the table this weekend at the Midwest Extravaganza. u003c/spanu003eu003c/pu003e","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["774153"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"u003cp class=u0022p1u0022u003eu003cspan class=u0022s1u0022u003eI had the chance to see Hannah Weber for the first time earlier this AAU season and she was a prospect that showed her worth on both ends of the floor with her mixture of size and smarts. Weber may only be a player out of the 2026 Class but she is taller than most and she understands her own ability while working to get better every day. She currently stands at around 6'3 and she's always attempting to work with her back to the basket. She has shown over time that she is steadily working on becoming a big time prospect near the paint, something you love to see. If she can continue to work the inside game at a consistent rate and her jumper comes along in the midrange over these next few years. She is going to be dangerous. u003c/spanu003eu003c/pu003e","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["879727"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"u003cp class=u0022p1u0022u003eu003cspan class=u0022s1u0022u003eSlow is fast is a term that a lot of people in this line of work use to explain a certain type of player. When someone is moving smoothly and effortlessly with the basketball, making it seem like they almost “float” through their moves, that's when this term comes into play. Someone who I've had the chance to evaluate in the past, who plays this way is Shooting Guard, [player_tooltip player_id='879727' first='Yanni' last='Smith']. Smith will be someone else competing up an age level with the 15U Midwest Meanstreets EYBL team this weekend and I'm excited to see what she does. Smith has the ability to go off at any moment. She is the type that can come out and score 35 points or she can dish out 12 assists and grab 7 boards. It just depends how motivated she is and how she is feeling. If she is playing her game and with full confidence, she should have one of the best weekends there as a whole. u003c/spanu003eu003c/pu003e","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["352114"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"u003cp class=u0022p1u0022u003eu003cspan class=u0022s1u0022u003eI'm not going to be evaluating too much of the 17U level this weekend but someone I will be stopping in to see is [player_tooltip player_id='352114' first='Aubrey' last='Galvan'] of [program_tooltip program_id='712517' first='Full' last='Package'] 2025 3SSB. Galvan is the real deal. The PG that all coaches would love to have on their team but would hate to play against. She holds 20+ Power 5 offers at this time and that list is only going to grow throughout the rest of this AAU season. She is the definition of a natural PG in every term of the phrase and I'm excited to see her compete live once again. Once high school ends, she is going to be one hell of a college PG, wherever she ends up. u003c/spanu003eu003c/pu003e","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["514034"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"u003cp class=u0022p1u0022u003eu003cspan class=u0022s1u0022u003eSpeaking of crafty Point Guards who are years above their age in skill level, I'm also going to be stopping by to see [player_tooltip player_id='514034' first='Danielle' last='Brooks'] of [program_tooltip program_id='712446' first='Chicago' last='Hoops Express'] 2025 compete at this event. Brooks is nice. Plain and simple. She has a shifty dribble with next level skill moves once she gets into the teeth of the defense, she can shoot the leather off of the basketball, and she is selfless enough to pass to fellow teammates when the defense over helps on her drive. Most of the time, she blows by her initial defender and that leads to a lot of success for herself and her teammate. I've only had the chance to step in and see Brooks compete a handful of times live but each time, she blows me away with her age and ability. Something I'm looking forward to seeing again over this weekend. u003c/spanu003eu003c/pu003e","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-664f564eda01a"} /-->
