A1 Hoops Team Camp: 2025 Top Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The month of June always presents an opportunity for high school coaches to get a preview as to what their teams will look like when play starts for real in the fall.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the places where several high school coaches and players were gathering was in the CSRA. A1 Hoops Report hosted its team camp at Riverview Park right alongside the Savannah River.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A total of six teams took part in the festivities with five of those teams being from South Carolina with a sixth representing Georgia.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We at Prep Girls Hoops were on hand for the festivities. Could Nicholson be the answer to that question? She appeared to be as she placed 11 points on the board in what was an entertaining matchup between the Rebels and the Hornets of 1A C.A. Johnson. Nicholson managed to connect on a few tough shots and displayed an impressive ability in terms of handling the ball. With a nine-point performance for Mathews, she helped Northwood Academy once again get in the win column as it does often. Mathews showcased impressive ball handling capabilities and a knack for taking care of the leather even amongst a number of defender. She also displayed how accurate she can be from behind the 3-point line. She once played on the junior varsity team then worked her way up to varsity status with the Mustangs. Gutierrez displayed exactly why she plays varsity when her team matched up against 3A Silver Bluff. She added nine points to Midland Valley's total as the Mustangs claimed a victory over the Bulldogs. Getting out in transition is among the many strong points of her game and she can also display how accurate she can be from behind the 3-point line.
