David Crocket is quietly put together a super impressive season, as they finished at 25-5 with some really impressive wins. Tullock was the team’s most consistent scorer and finished at 18 points per game. What I really loved is that she simply got noticably better from her freshman to sophomore season. Her assists rose to 3 a game, and her rebounds rose to 5.4/game. She is turning herself into a really well rounded player.
She has also already surpassed the 1,000 point mark for her career (and she’s only a ’26).
I’m not sure that any player in the state is improving at a rate as quickly as Aaliyah Story Aaliyah Story 6’3″ | SF David Crockett | 2026 State TN . The 6’3 wing turned into a monster this year! She averaged 16 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal, and 2.5 blocks (she was amongst the leading shot blockers in the state). She’s always been a kid that could simply rely on her athleticism to be pretty darn good, now her athleticism is mixing with high level skill to make her ELITE. She’s going to be a big time D1 kid before her career is done.
Highlights
One of my favorite players to watch in the state, because she understands the value of being elite at one thing. I see many kids try to do a bit of everything, and end of average at them all. Bella Ferguson has decided to be an elite facilitator and passer…and her 9.5 assists per game led the state. She makes the David Crocket team go!
On top of that, she knocked down 50 three’s, and that’s more than enough to keep defenses honest and change the gravity on the floor.
Britton became a very solid role player this season that can really contribute on both sides of the ball. She averaged 9 points a game on 53% shooting. I see her eventually becoming a very legitimate three point threat as she hit 25 threes at 28%. As she’s only a ’26, there is still lots of room for improvement, and she’s the perfect role player with this David Crockett team.
One of the more underrated ’27s in the state. As a freshman she was able to play a pivotal role for David Crockett last season. She does just about everything pretty well already! She averaged 7 points on 47% shooting. She also contributed 2.5 assists, 3 rebounds, and two steals. She’s a legit 2 way player with big time upside. Another David Crockett underclassman that is going to have a big time year.
I just covered Byrd in another article, so I won’t go too in depth here….but long story short, she became a high level shooter this season, hitting 6 in one game! When you can put Byrd and Ferguson (shooters), around Story and Bullock (natural scorers), with either Britton or Doner on the floor–they will always have 5 scoring threats on the floor.
