Red Dirt Games : Standout Posts and Forwards

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A lot of the stand-out post girls that I have come across scouting and coaching share many of the same attributes, and it isn't just being tall. Working on your craft at this level in the summer months isn't what everyone is doing. [player_tooltip player_id='751175' first='Adriana' last='Radinovic'] is one of the most focused players I have seen. I see players all the time spending timeouts focused on their parents or their water bottle, Adriana is locked in to Coach Musselman's points of emphasis. I watched [player_tooltip player_id='766790' first='Taiylor' last='Caron'] and the South Coffeyville girls play, but was busy talking to another coach as two games finished at the same time. I walked to that court hoping to catch the three girls I wanted to talk to, and they happened to be the three that were sitting courtside watching the game that followed theirs. I was also able to talk briefly to [player_tooltip player_id='934771' first='Ashlynn' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='912963' first='Logan' last='Murrillo'] after a big Swarm win as well, and was impressed with their demeanor towards the game in general. Taiylor had a shot blocked on a fast break and then a few plays later had same scenario, only this time she gathered, let the defender fly by, and hit an easy bump. Smarty and savvy inside. Posts up extremely well, and then doesn't force it. Plays with a sense of comfort, where she knows with her size and post up acumen means she knows its coming back to her if she wants it. Has to be a treat for guards to have a life vest like Ashlynn to throw to whenever they need to. Blocks shots and starts fast breaks. I coached a 6'2'' girl once and I always told her that it was hard to take her out of games, because even when offense isn't going well, having an anchor like that on defense is just such a game changer. Paying attention to body language you notice how locked in Adriana is.
