On June 14th and 15th at State Farm Stadium, 96 of the top girls basketball programs on the west coast will meet to compete in six different brackets at the annual Section 7 tournament.

Here I take a look at the top prospect to watch for each Arizona team in the AZ Sports & Entertainment Bracket.

Perry: [player_tooltip player_id='780451' first='Novelle' last='McQuiston']

Following her transfer to Perry from the state of Montana, McQuiston lit the 6A conference up as one of the best players in the state as a sophomore. A big reason for that was her ability to impact the game as a primary ball handler from the small forward position in a Luka Doncic-ish way. From the wing, McQuiston broke down opposing defenses and defenders with her ability to pull up from the perimeter and knock down shots and blow by opponents with her speed heading towards the rim. Her scoring ability coupled with her ability to move the ball at her size makes her one of the prospects that can see her stock rise this week.

Desert Vista: [player_tooltip player_id='242932' first='Trinity' last='Jones']

After spending the majority of her junior year off ball, Jones returns to her original position as the primary ball handler in the Desert Vista offense. As one of the better passing prospects in the 2025 class, her experience in letting the offense get set and guiding her teammates into the right spots is an advanced skill. As a scorer, Jones has a pure shot especially when getting to her spot in the mid-range. She also possesses the ability to get downhill and effectively finish at the rim through contact. With the expectation of being the go-to player for the Thunder this season, her gifted offensive game can elevate her teammates as she'll be the focal point for opposing teams.

Millennium: [player_tooltip player_id='590992' first='Destiny' last='Lunan']

Entering the 2024-25 season, there's not a more coveted prospect in the state of Arizona than the Millennium star guard. It only takes one quarter to see why Lunan has almost every major offer in the country. Her IQ of the game jumps out right away as she constantly puts herself and her teammates into the right position to score every time in their offensive sets. Her ability to thread the needle with precision can break down even the toughest of defenses. What may be most impressive about her game is her ability to use her ball handling skills which may be the best in the state to blow past defenders and finish with great touch at the rim in multiple ways.

Hamilton: [player_tooltip player_id='589954' first='Sage' last='Henry']

Henry will make her Hamilton debut at Section 7 after spending her first two years at Perry high school. She transfers to the East Valley power with the ability to help take Hamilton over the hump with her play at the guard position. She's one of the best shooting prospects in the class with one of the deepest ranges in the state knocking down three pointers from the volleyball line at times. Her ability to handle the ball and use it to her advantage as she attempts to drive towards the rack creates disadvantages for defenders.
