On June 14th and 15th at State Farm Stadium, 96 of the top girls basketball programs on the west coast will meet to compete in six different brackets at the annual Section 7 tournament.

Here I take a look at some of the top prospects to watch from Arizona in the City of Glendale Bracket

Sunrise Mountain: [player_tooltip player_id='608973' first='Savanna' last='Dotray']

In the span of one year no prospect has proven to be more valuable to their teams success than Dotray. This coincides with the growth of her all around game during that time. Since early in her career she's always been able to get to the mid-range and pull up with a smooth release but her ability to knock down the three ball has gone to another level. Her ball handling sticks out right away as she took over the offense as a point-forward last season and was able to initiate the offense as the lead on-ball player. Overall she's an impactful prospect due for a strong senior year and could finish within the top five of the class when it's all said and done.

Sunrise Mountain: [player_tooltip player_id='837250' first='Addison' last='Wiemann']

Wiemann moved in state prior to the beginning of last season and played a big role in the Mustangs returning to the state championship for the second consecutive year. Her playstyle mirrors the modern game. On the offensive end she feasts on putbacks and finishing over small defenders but what's most impressive is her ability to step out on to the perimeter and knock down the three ball with ease. Defensively, she's one of the better shot blockers in the 2026 class and her ability to crash the glass is crucial. She's a winning player.

Red Mountain: [player_tooltip player_id='829152' first='Payton' last='Westra']

Westra is one of the best dual sport athletes in the state and a big reason for that is the way she is able to impact the game on the basketball court. Right away what jumps out is her ability to use her size and box out bigger defenders to create proper positioning allowing her to rebound with ease. She's one of the more prolific rebounders in her class. Offensively, she uses her size to her advantage as she finishes inside with a good touch even through contact and plays with an old school post game that is impactful. Defensively she has active hands that disrupt entry passes and she is able to be a good help side defender as a really solid shot blocker.

Basha: [player_tooltip player_id='640876' first='Madison' last='A. Garner']

Garner is a smooth point guard that is able to control the pace of the game as the primary ball handler. Her ability to initiate the offense in both the half court and while on the fast break is a valuable part of her game. She moves the ball around to create open looks for her teammates. She shows the ability to shoot the three in both the catch and shoot and off the dribble. Most of her points come from layups inside the paint.

On June 14th and 15th at State Farm Stadium, 96 of the top girls basketball programs on the west coast will meet to compete in six different brackets at the annual Section 7 tournament.
