More Names to Note From The Wisconsin Elite Camp

I spent Sunday at the second Wisconsin Elite Camp at the Badgers' practice facility connected to the Kohl Center. Most of the kids at the camp were middle schoolers about to get to high school or younger, with one or two kids heading into their sophomore seasons in High School. Today and tomorrow, we'll highlight a few kids who had a standout camp.   [player_tooltip player_id='922655' first='Kinnley' last='Fulcer']   The padded knee pads cover up scars from injuries that Fulcer has suffered. She's gone through some serious stuff before getting to high school. However, you can tell that it hasn't affected her love of the game. She played hard on both ends of the floor, made open shots, and helped her teams in 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 generate good shots, whether she took advantage of mismatches or hit her teammates when they cut for layups. Fulcer has a tremendous feel for the game and elevates her team's offense with or without the ball. We'll see what her first season at Kimberly looks like, but she'll be a kid who finds a way to get on the floor over the next four years.   Quinn Lodes   Another younger talent who's had their fair share of struggles with injuries that played well was Quinn Lodes. The future Kettle Moraine Laser can knock down shots in bunches, and she showed that at the camp. Each time I've seen her play, Lodes has looked more comfortable after returning from injury and will likely play a role in KM's 2024-25 season. She's the type of kid who can make perimeter shots in bunches and open the floor up for her fellow Lasers.   [player_tooltip player_id='804247' first='Brielle' last='Gray']   The River Falls guard looked like one of the more explosive guards in Madison. I thought she did an excellent job getting by her initial defender and showing a little of everything she could do. I love the mechanics of her shot, and Gray is strong enough to shoot it the same way no matter where she is on the floor. I thought she made some things happen with the ball in her hands and was aggressive on the defensive end of the floor. She also went as hard as she could from 9 am to the end of camp at 3 pm.   Gabriella Pritchard   Lead guards having leadership qualities is a must at the high school level, and Pritchard has that. There is confidence in how she plays, and whether she scored or not, she kept her teammates engaged and made positive things happen on the offensive end of the floor. She could power her way to the basket, knock down perimeter shots, and have excellent ball control in traffic.
