About Brielle
Expert Analysis
Grant McGinnis | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Gray is a polished, athletic guard with speed, quickness, and scoring ability. Ranked in the Top 40 in 2028, she pushes tempo, attacks off the dribble, and can score from all over the floor. She showed her smooth pull-up jumper and her defensive tenacity at the ID Camp, putting great effort into on-ball stops. A transplant from Wisconsin one year ago, Brielle is adjusting well to big-school Minnesota basketball. With a lightning-quick first step, superior elevation, and lots of creativity, Gray has the upside to grow into a premier collegiate prospect.

Brielle is our FRESH FACE OF THE DAY, a talented guard who just moved into Minnesota from River Falls, Wisconsin. The East Ridge freshman isn’t an unknown commodity given the success she has already had across the border. This summer Gray earned honorable mention status from PGH Wisconsin as Newcomer of the Year award as well as the 15U AAU All-Star Team. Brielle is explosive, with a quick first step, excellent athleticism, and a set of handles that is trending towards elite. She can shoot, distribute and defend at a high level. We were impressed with our first viewing on Sunday. We’re about to name our Freshman 50, the first ranking of Minnesota’s Class of 2028. Because Sunday’s games at Fall League were the first time we’ve seen Brielle play, we’ve elected to leave her out of the mix until we have a better idea where she fits. Rest assured, however, that Gray will be on the list in the new year.
