A lot of great basketball was played at the Expo Center in Louisville this past week and having a front row seat to the organized chaos, I made sure to catch all the Jersey girls in action! The following hoopers put their best foot forward and really impressed me. They can expect to see a nice bump in the rankings come August!

[player_tooltip player_id='965057' first='Madelyn' last='Shanley'] | United NJ

The Caitlin Clark doppelganger took her big game to Louisville and proved that she, too, can knock down deep 3's like CC. Her hot shooting helped keep things close against ETA Thunder and the Comets while racking up wins over Mavericks G-Elite and Our Vision Arkansas in the Fuschia group. When she catches fire from deep, it can end up being a long night for the opponent! Her spot-up game was clicking early on and stayed hot throughout! Her defense doesn't get talked about nearly enough and she made sure to showcase just how good she can be on that end of the floor. She did a great job jumping in the lanes and picking off passes while also being aggressive on traps and applying bothersome ball pressure.

[player_tooltip player_id='879722' first='Hannah' last='McGurr'] | United NJ

It's no secret that Hannah can work both sides of the ball. However, she really turned it up a notch in Kentucky and applied elevated intensity. Her instincts on defense were ultra sharp, anticipating well and jumping in the lanes to pick off passes and ignite the fast break. Her 3-ball was working overtime as she delivered deep bucket after deep bucket for several days. She can rim-run with the best of them with a motor that keeps on going! As much as she scored the ball, she made sure to keep a selfless playing style and dish out some really nice passes, including a few unforgettable no-look dimes through traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='559029' first='Ava' last='Fajardo'] | Exodus NYC

Ava commanded the court like the floor general she is! A firecracker in the open court, she blitzed through the defense and found herself at the rim time and time again. She kept the ball on a string and proved punishing off the bounce. She was highly efficient, especially in a big outing against EYBL powerhouse Why Not Premier from Cali where she went 4-6 from the floor. Not only did she score the ball well, but she also got everybody involved in the fun and fired off some incredible passes. Very sharp court vision!

[player_tooltip player_id='559039' first='Madison' last='Kocis'] | Philly Rise

She dazzled with the ball in her hands and left her mark on Session 3. If anybody on the 16U EYBL circuit is ready for Nike Nationals, it's Madson! She was extremely efficient from multiple spots on the floor, but she really shined the brightest from 3-point range. So much length and a quick release to get the ball up over defenders before they can fully close out on her. A dangerous sharpshooter, she lines it up and fires away without any hesitation. She was terrific from the mid-range as well delivering off the smooth pull-up. She made a difference on the glass rebounding from the guard spot and imposed her aggressiveness in every single game.

[player_tooltip player_id='414431' first='Kyley' last='Gary-Grayson'] | Team Melious

One of the highest motors I got eyes on in Kentucky, this girl can GO! She slashed her way through the lane and got to the rim at will. She averaged double-digit scoring and nearly double-digit rebounds! A tenacious rebounding guard who doesn't care how big or tall the opponent is, she will bang inside and battle for the board! Her shots were falling in rapid succession and there really wasn't a spot she didn't hit from! She locked down on defense and forced multiple turnovers which she converted to striking offense. She delivered clutch performances in a remarkable come-from-behind win against Kentucky Premier and blowout victory over Always 100 Stars.

[player_tooltip player_id='414234' first='Azanah' last='Campbell'] | Jersey Gemz

There is so much electricity to Azanah's game! She really put on a show down in the Ville with her two-way game on full display. One of the silkiest mid-range jumpers you'll find, she releases it with so much confidence and exceptional form. She was a bullet in transition and once she turned the jets on it was a bee-line to the basket. I was fascinated with her unrelenting intensity on defense and the way she put the clamps in lockdown fashion. As hard as she played and as tough as she battled, she still made it look pretty effortless out there!

[player_tooltip player_id='559825' first='Belle' last='Alvarado'] | [program_tooltip program_id='714654' first='NJ' last='Shoreshots']

I just love how tough Belle is! She is ultra dependable to do a little bit of everything out there and make the hustles plays that will put her team in a position to win! She handles adversity on the court in a cool and collected manner, keeping a poker face and staying in business-mode from the first whistle to the last. She handles the ball well, facilitates, scores and defends at a high level. Strong guard who thrives in a physical setting.

[player_tooltip player_id='651496' first='Ashley' last='Kreiger'] | Philly Rise

Ashley was the primary focus of every opposing team's scouting report because of her versatility and expansive skillset. An effortless mover, she floated up and down the court with long strides, covering a lot of ground in a short burst. Her confidence handling the ball continues to grow and add yet another layer to her ever-evolving and lethal game. She popped from outside and dominated the interior with disciplined footwork and effective post moves.

[player_tooltip player_id='525475' first='Kimi' last='Sayson'] | [program_tooltip program_id='714654' first='NJ' last='Shoreshots']

Kimi hooped her way to excellence at the Expo Center, wowing the crowd with her savvy point guard play. Her ability to manufacture in traffic and evade high pressure defense was remarkable! She put on a show against K-Low Elite with precision passing and terrific ball handling. Although she was one of the smallest players on the floor in most of the games she played, her aggression on the glass saw her collect an impressive number of rebounds. Small but mighty!
