Aaliyah Chavez (Cy Fair): The No. 1 2025 recruit in the country was a good as advertised as she scored a game-high 36 points in the nationally televised game against [program_tooltip program_id='712694' first='Missouri' last='Phenom']. She has the creativity and ball handling to get her own shot in just about every way imaginable. She had a few jaw dropping escape moves that really had the crowd buzzing. She is a three-level scoring threat who can get into the lane and score tough buckets through contact or she can hit the step-back 3-pointer. She was also the biggest draw of the weekend as every game she played attracted huge crowds. Folks were 10-15 deep all around the court at all of her games.

Jaliya Davis (MO Phenom): The 6'2" 2025 forward from Blue Valley North (KS) was an absolute force in the paint in Phenom's overtime victory over Cy Fair. She finished the game with 25 points and 19 rebounds while imposing her will inside with her relentless post ups and offensive rebounds. If she wasn't scoring, she was drawing fouls as she made 15 of her 20 free throw attempts. Her activity level in the paint is next-level tenacious as she continued to get stronger as the game wore on.

[player_tooltip player_id='351752' first='Jayda' last='Porter'] (MO Phenom): After a relatively quiet first half, the 6'3 2026 forward from Rock Bridge really got busy in the second half and overtime period. At the beginning of the second half, she had a play where she darting into the passing lanes for a steal, saved the ball in bounds and dribbled downcourt to drop a dime for an assist. She was also scoring inside and working the high low sets with her passing. She nailed a nice pull up jumper in the mid-range late in the regulation period. In the overtime, she had a couple of buckets, four rebounds and two blocks as she dominated at both ends of the court in Phenom's victory.

[player_tooltip player_id='302779' first='Jordan' last='Speiser'] (All Iowa Attack): The 6'2 2025 from Lutheran St Charles showcased her long range shooting skills in the two games I watched. Her range extends well beyond the 3-point line. She was coming off screens or just facing up a defender who had her hand down. She was also very good at creating her own shot as she used her physical and excellent handles to get to her spots against some very athletic defenders.

Jayla Jackson (Team Takeover): A 6'1" 2026 wing player who is a versatile offensive talent who can create matchup problems with her athleticism and all-around skill set. She was knocking down catch-and-shoot 3-pointers, but she could also attack the rim with her athleticism. She is also an excellent defender with her length and tenacity. She's an elite-level prospect with numerous scholarship offers from Power 5 programs.

Grace McCallop (MO Phenom): The 5'10" 2025 point guard from Bishop Miege had a strong two-way performance with 12 points, six rebounds and six assist in Phenom's victory over Cy Fair. She was also assigned the duty of guarding All-American Aaliyah Chavez, which she did with great zeal and intensity. She put forth as much energy as any player in that game at both ends of the court. She was running the offense, keeping things organized and picking her spots to be assertive. She could penetrate and she also hit a nice step-back 3-pointer.

Jenica Lewis (All Iowa Attack): A 5'10" 2026 four-star guard from Johnston High (IA) who can really get buckets and shoot the ball from distance. When she got an open look, she was going to knock it down. She is also a very talented offensive player who can break down defenders to get into the lane for a nice floater or a pull up jumper. Her crossover is tough. Salty. She was also very good in her team's win over Cy Fair on Thursday.

[player_tooltip player_id='302783' first='Mari' last='Miller'] (MO Phenom): The 5'11" 2025 forward from Rock Bridge quietly had a huge impact on the game with her perimeter shooting, especially in the second half. She scored 12 points on four of five shooting from 3-point range. She really came up big in the second half when she made three of those triples when the game was in the balance. She always seems to put her personal stamp on a game when people may not be noticing, until they do.
