[player_tooltip player_id='766585' first='JJ' last='Black'] started off her high school career within the Top 50 as it pertains to her individual Class Ranking and that isn't going to change moving into her Senior season at Elkhorn Valley. I never had a chance to step in and see Black compete live last Winter but from the looks of it, she did what she could and averaged some respectable numbers across the board for her squad. Black is a prospect that has height on most near the basket and that helps her compete with anyone on either side of the floor. Honestly, the past couple of years Black has been a constant in the field on producing for her team and she is going to do the same over the next eight months by my estimation.

The Wisner-Pilger Gators finished off their season last year with a record of 10-13 and they are looking to turn that around this upcoming Winter with their returning producers. One of those producers, who is going to be stationed at the Shooting Guard position is Emerson Ballar. Ballar scored 13.5 PPG and 6 RPG for her first year on Varsity as a Sophomore last season and she is going to be able to come back this season, better than ever. Ballar put up 400 shot attempts in 23 games so she will be looked upon to do the same this time around I would assume. If it's anything from like a year ago, Ballar is going to have some games with some real fireworks this Winter and I can't wait to see that unfold.

[player_tooltip player_id='374559' first='Adi' last='Rennerfeldt'] of Oakland-Craig High School not only put up some eye-opening numbers for her Junior season but she did so while shooting a very high percentage from the field. Rennerfeldt scored 13.5 PPG, grabbed 3.1 RPG, dished out 2.9 APG, and stole away 2.9 SPG, all as she shot 48% from the field overall. Rennerfeldt competes out of that SG, CG, or SF position whenever she is on the floor, really "making her money" from inside the three point line on both sides of the ball. As long as she can be confident in that ability these next eight months, I'm sure that trend will continue into her last season at Oakland-Craig.

One of the more impressive stat lines from a Guard from the 2023-2024 season was the one that was averaged by SG, [player_tooltip player_id='766591' first='Ellie' last='Morgan'] of Wood River High School. Morgan accounted for 13.3 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 2.9 APG, and 2.3 SPG in her efforts as her team went 13-10 on their season as a whole. Morgan only trailed a Senior last Winter by 1 Point in PPG and I'm sure she is ready to take over that responsibility once again this Winter, becoming their clear first option offensively. This may be someone that comes in around 5'5-5'6 in height but she is going to be a savage on the hardwood this Winter. There is not a doubt about that.

Someone that took a HUGE step from their Freshman season to their Sophomore season in the C2 Class out of the 2026 grade-level is [player_tooltip player_id='820511' first='Brair' last='Ray'] of Oakland-Craig High School. Ray went from scoring 2.5 PPG to 13 PPG on average in about a years time, while also putting up some good numbers in the rebounding and assisting categories. Now that Ray has seen some success in recent past, she should come into this year with a chip on her shoulder. She put up major numbers for her group as a Sophomore but she could really take it to a whole other level for her Junior Campaign if she continues to work and expand her efficient skill-set.
