Below are five returning uncommitted sharp-shooting prospects that will be returning to the C2 Class this upcoming Winter at the Varsity level. Each player listed is someone that shot and scored major numbers from distance last Winter with whatever perspective Varsity program they were competing with.

23-24 stats: 16.4 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 2.7 APG, 2.9 SPG, 2.0 BPG, 4.3 TPG

[player_tooltip player_id='820510' first='Avery' last='Nichols'] has been a top rated prospect out of her 2026 Class for a few years now. Nichols is a solid talent, that can do several positive things on the floor. She can score at a high rate, shooting the basketball at a quick and consistent clip, she can rebound on both ends of the ball better than most for her size at 5'6, and she gets her hands on a ton of loose balls defensively because of her anticipation and knowledge of where her opponent is going to become careless with the basketball. All in all, Nichols is going to try to build on what she started last year with her Brownell Talbot program. She shot the ball at one of the highest rates last Winter, making 63 of her 180 three point attempts, so I'm sure she will come into this year ready to let it fly once again.

23-24 stats: 18 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 1.5 APG, 2.2 SPG, .7 BPG, 3.2 TPG

Albrecht is a lefty SG, that has shown her promise the past few few years on the Varsity floor for her Homer team. Albrecht gets a lot of her offensive action while going toward the rim, so her defenders need to stop that first, leading to her being open on the outside for jump shots more times than not. Last year as a Junior, she registered 51 three pointers at an impressive 35% from distance. This Winter she will return with the goal of shooting an even better percentage from the field, while also doing a handful of other things to help her squad. Things like rebounding, assisting, and causing turnovers in the full court with her pressure. If she can do that, she will shine even more than a year ago and that would be noteworthy in the grand scheme of things.

23-24 stats: 9.3 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 1.8 APG, 2.3 SPG, .1 BPG, 3.0 TPG

2/3 of the shot attempts that [player_tooltip player_id='977387' first='Natalie' last='Williams'] took last Winter were from behind the three point line. When the end of the year came around, Williams finished things off by making 48 three pointers at a 29% rate from the floor. This ranks Williams in the Top 7 in her C2 Class in three point makes on the year as a whole. This is someone that is new to our system and who we are going to go more in-depth with during our Players Update in September but for now, just understand that Williams is a SG, that will be tasked to do more of the same this upcoming 2024-2025 season from distance with her shooting ability off of the ball.

With who this group is going to return this upcoming season, I would expect that Cornell is going to have the same job this Winter, while also keeping up her other averages that she produced a year ago. I think other than Cornell being a solid three point threat, she can also make a difference on the defensive side of the ball. To averaged 4.5 SPG like she did a year ago, is eye-opening. If she can do that again, she will prove to collegiate recruiters everywhere watching that she could do something at the next level if given a shot. That's for sure.

23-24 stats: 14.3 PPG, 6.9 RPG, 2.9 APG, 2 SPG, 1 BPG, 5 TPG

Rounding out our Top 10 with three point makes out of the C2 Class from a year ago is [player_tooltip player_id='766778' first='Claire' last='Korth'] of Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family High School. Korth made 46 of her 146 three point attempts from a year ago, on route to averaging 14.3 PPG for her team. The Bulldogs didn't finish their season how they would have imagined last Winter but they are going to return two of their Top Producers and that should help them fair much better. It all depends how they do as a group and mesh together but you have start somewhere and it's definitely a start in my book.
