The Prep Girls Hoops Colorado Freshman Showcase was filled with high level talent at every position. Many of these players have the ability to potentially earn a varsity uniform this winter. However, each high school program has their own unique needs. This evaluation takes into consideration both talent and individual program fit. Keep these names on your radar!

Jayda is a long wing with a multidimensional skill set. The Colorado PGH showcase was Jayda's first time back on the court after contracting a hip contusion in Chicago at the Nike Tournament of Champions. However, it didn't take long to shake off the rust and see her high potential. She showed her athleticism by consistently attacking the offensive glass and finishing at the rim. Defensively, players had a hard getting around her 5'9 frame. There is no doubt Jayda has a legitimate chance to contribute at the varsity level this season at Highlands Ranch.

At six foot three Khloe sticks out in a big way when she walks in the gym, and her game definitely matches her physical stature. When she got to her spots, Khloe showed the ability to score in the paint with an array of moves. Her height makes her shot really hard to disrupt, so once she has the ball in good position it's over for defenders. Defensively, if she wasn't blocking a shot she was impacting angles from would-be scorers. Khloe oozes with upside and the Kent Denver coaching staff will definitely enjoy having a post player of her caliber in the program as a freshman.

Nylah showed why she was an athletic and powerful forward for 14U [program_tooltip program_id='715876' first='Mountain' last='West Premier'] Jr. EYBL last summer. She moves fluidly and runs the floor extremely well for her size. Nylah executed her patented up-and-under move on the block as well as showed the ability to step out and hit midrange jumpers. Nylah will give 2nd-year Rangeview coach Tony Speights some much-needed help in the paint this year.

Charlotte was absolutely lights out all day from the 3-point line. She has a crazy quick release and shoots the ball effortlessly. Charlotte presents as a combo guard because she has high-level ball-handling skills to go with her consistent three-point shooting. She more than held her own at the varsity level for Monarch High School at the Colorado Live Event in June, and I expect her to push for varsity minutes this winter.

Alaina showed out at the showcase on both ends of the floor. She is a powerful slasher who attacks the rim with authority, often earning free points at the charity stripe. Alaina is a supreme athlete for her size. She moves like a guard but has the body of a forward which is a lethal combination. She has the ability to guard at least four positions on the floor and this makes her even more valuable to her team. Niwot has been waiting for a player of this caliber to enter the program and she has the talent and IQ to begin that impact as a freshman.
