July Evaluations: Charlotte Dream (part 2)

Kirwin is a defensive stopper. She tracks the basketball well in help-side and she is a terrific on-ball defender. She forces steals and pushes the basketball in transition after she creates a turnover. Kirwin is also a talented offensive player. She reads what the defense gives her and drives hard to the rim, pulls up in the midrange, or knocks down the outside shot for the Charlotte Dream.     Long is a bouncy athlete who is skilled. She makes things happen on defense and leads the break to score in the open court for the Dream. Long is also very active on the glass from the guard position. She is always around the basketball and can out-jump the opposition for the basketball. Long can score in the paint, from the foul line, or from the three. She is a super-talented player with a high motor.     Puskarich is a glue player for the Charlotte Dream. She is willing to do whatever her team needs to be successful. She will defend, she will rebound, she will create steals, and Puskarich can score. She is a true team player who is able to drain the open three or drive in the paint and make a play. Puskarich is an unselfish guard willing to make the best play for her team in any situation.     Ritter can really shoot the basketball. She has a pretty, left-handed jump shot, and the consistency to make multiple three-pointers in any contest. Ritter is always shot-ready. She will hunt her three-point shot or her teammates will set her up for success. On defense, Ritter can force steals with her length. She is a competitor on defense who makes plays in help-side.     Robinson finishes around the rim. When she catches a pass, Robinson can score around or over the defense. She can also earn trips to the foul line or convert an "and one" opportunity for the Charlotte Dream. Robinson is a physical player who holds her own on the defensive glass, and she is a strong offensive rebounder. She has good hands and tracks rebounds out of her area.
