Under the Radar Standouts in 2027 Rankings

Prep Girls Missouri released its newly updated Class of 2027 rankings this week. Here is a look at some Under the Radar players who appear in the new rankings.   [player_tooltip player_id='849012' first='Jacie' last='Kassanavold'] (Lathrop): A 5'8" guard who was a big part of one of the most successful seasons in the history of Lathrop girls' basketball. She added athleticism and versatility to a veteran team and helped take them to another level. As a freshman, she averaged 14.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.7 steals to help lead Lathrop to a 27-1 record, a district championship and a berth in the Class 3 state quarterfinals.     ******   [player_tooltip player_id='885181' first='Charleigh' last='Spoonster'] (Clopton): A 5'6" point guard who stepped into the lineup immediately as the chief playmaker and floor leader for a Hawks team that won 22 games and a Class 2 district championship last season. She has excellent speed and she can push the ball with pace to get easy baskets for her teammates. As a freshman, she averaged 9.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.6 steals and nearly eight assists a game.     ******   [player_tooltip player_id='849010' first='Isabel' last='Robinson'] (Cameron): A 5'10" forward who has a versatile skill set that enables her to excel in all facets of the game. She handles the ball well and she is able to facilitate offense. She can score around the basket and also step out and hit the 3-pointer. She averaged 12 points and nearly eight rebounds a game as a freshman to lead the team in both categories.     ******   [player_tooltip player_id='691951' first='Kenna' last='Oliver'] (Canton): A 5'10" guard who was an excellent contributor as a freshman for Canton's 19-9 team last season. She has the height and versatility to create all kinds of matchup problems for opposing defenses. When she goes into the low post, she can score on a variety of moves. She is also a very capable player on the perimeter with her ability to drive the ball or find open teammates with her passing.     ******     [player_tooltip player_id='849019' first='Lily' last='Carr'] (Spokane): A 5'6" point guard who was one of the more impressive small-school freshmen in the SWMO area. She has dynamic speed and quickness to create off the dribble and score on penetrating drives to the basket. She is an exciting players to watch in the open court. She enjoyed some big scoring nights during her freshman campaign, which include single-game records of 40 and 44 points.     ******     [player_tooltip player_id='975890' first='Holly' last='Barlow'] (North Kansas City): A 5'8" point guard who stepped in and help her team to a conference championship last season. She can play on and off the ball with equal effectiveness. She is good in the open court and she can also hit timely 3-pointers. She also used her length and good instincts to make plays of the defensive end. She averaged nine points and three rebounds to help NKC to a 19-6 record last season     ******     [player_tooltip player_id='904764' first='Whitney' last='Pennington'] (Marceline): A 5'7" combo guard who joined her older sister Natalee in the starting lineup to form a strong combination. The young lefty is a creative ball handler who can weave her way through traffic to score in the lane. She does a good job of not letting herself get sped up. She can also hit the open 3-pointer off the catch and on the pull up in the transition game.
