Akiem’s Long Island 2025 Players to Watch (Part 5)

That is also the case for Dellaporta who excels in both athletic disciplines for Ward Melville. One can place Dellaporta either at the four or at the five in the frontcourt and it will give her team a significant chance at a victory. In addition to what she can get accomplished as a scorer, she can do the same as a shot blocker. That one defeat came against Walt Whitman in the Suffolk County championship game. Alongside what she does on the basketball court, she also excels on the soccer pitch. Vasselman stands at 5-foot-6 and can play at either of the two guard spots in the backcourt. Orlando has placed more emphasis on lacrosse than basketball and it has since been revealed that Orlando had committed to Clemson for lacrosse. On the basketball court, Orlando helped Mt. Sinai's 2023-24 version to a record of 15-6 with two of those blemishes coming courtesy of Bayport-Blue Point. In addition to scoring depth that she presents, she is able to effectively fuse together that part of her game with veteran elements. Basketball and court volleyball are the two sports most individuals typically associate with hardwood. Henry excels at both. As a six-foot frontcourt stalwart who typically can play at the four, one can expect her to convert on high-percentage shots close to the rim. In addition, Henry is also a skilled rebounder. Along with what she does at the four, a team can also have her play the three and it will still yield positive dividends.
