I worked on one of these before the Freshman Showcase, so I'll do this for the Top 250 Expo. Today, we'll highlight a few players attending the Top 250 Showcase that I'm eager to see play in person this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='751257' first='EllaMay' last='Cooper']

One of the quickest guards in the state will be in attendance in Appleton this weekend. Cooper spent the summer with [program_tooltip program_id='715882' first='Wisconsin' last='Flight Elite']'s 17U EYBL team and grew as a player throughout the season. The new Eau Claire Regis guard is coming off an impressive first season at McDonell last season, which ended in a trip to the state tournament for the Macks. Cooper displayed her ball handling and poise on the premier stage in high school sports, and she'll continue to improve.

[player_tooltip player_id='751272' first='Melanie' last='Morgan']

The development of Morgan's perimeter game will be crucial for Grafton over the next few seasons, and she'll have an opportunity to step up this season and be a kid who takes the North Shore by storm. She's always been an elite spot-shooter, and you'll see how she's used that threat to expand on the rest of her game. Morgan seems like a kid who wants to improve every day, and that's why her ceiling is as high as it is and why next-level programs have shown interest in her already.

[player_tooltip player_id='751263' first='Kennedi' last='Harden']

All the skills are there for Harden to be a premier guard in the Big Eight. Harden is talented enough to get by anyone off the dribble and generate advantages on the offensive end of the floor. The Memorial guard can put the ball in the basket when she has to, especially when she gets downhill. I also thought she's been a solid on-ball defender, and you can see how competitive Harden is when the Spartan has to keep her assignment in front of her. She'll be a handful to defend at the Top 250 event this coming weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='434024' first='Adahlyn' last='Hoerl']

I thought Hoerl had a breakout summer with [program_tooltip program_id='712778' first='Purple' last='Aces'] last summer. Her ability to do a little of everything on the wings opens up numerous options on what her teams can do offensively. Hoerl can initiate offense, cut, post up smaller defenders, pass from the high post, create off the dribble, and more. Her ability to give a coaching staff a choice offensively has value. Her versatility is an undeniable plus to her game, and she'll be a kid who could earn early minutes at the next level.
