There were a lot of young standout players at the H2 Hoops Fall League this past weekend, and it really gave a glimpse of what basketball is going to look like on the First Coast in a few years. But, "not so fast," said the upperclassmen. They came to play and many proved that leadership, responsibility, and production on the court comes through them. In this article we hilight the play of the several standout Juniors and Seniors at fall league play.

[player_tooltip player_id='633526' first='Kamela' last='Marshall'] played like the leader of the Eagles View team. Marshall was involved in all aspects of the game and when it was all done, she had left her mark on the court: Marshall handled the ball a considerable amount of time and she did a good job of playing the 1 and the 2 positions, depending on the personnel on the floor. That speaks volumes of her versatily at the guard position. Marshall was very effective with the ball in her hands and she showed the ability to get to the rim quickly and often unimpeded. Marshall was also impressive from behind the three-point line, connecting on a few in the "four" point zone. Marshall also rebounded well from the guard position. Marshall was a standout over the weekend of play and she is poised to provide the senior leadership on a very young team.

[player_tooltip player_id='936782' first='Nina' last='Kamma-Hill'] showed a lot of leadership on the court with her young Paxon squad. Kamma-Hill handled the rock and took it upon herself to put all of her teammates in the right position. Kamma-Hill shot the three, had some nice pullups in the midrange area, showed an ability to knife through the defense for point-blank shots, and was dynamic in the transition game.

[player_tooltip player_id='430455' first='Kimora' last='Hester'] had a few moments at this past weekend that reminded all of her versatility as a player. She connected on several outside shots and then got into the paint for one of her patented left-handed mid-range shots. Hester plays with great physicality and brings that to both sides of the ball. She is versatile and can mix it up on the inside and also on the perimeter against guards and wing players. The JU Dolphin commit is primed for a special season and she will have a lot of talented youngsters to lead. She looks to be ready for the challenge.

[player_tooltip player_id='514545' first='Mariah' last='Young'] was the main backup point guard last season and was the primary ball handler on her travel squad. With all of the situations that she has experienced, she will be the better for it. You could see her calmness under pressure as Young has seen it all. The veteran will have a lot of talented freshman teammates and she will undoubtedly be the leader on the courts. Young connected on several threes, showing her versatility as a shooter, a ball handler, and a playmaker. Add leadership to the superlatives. Young was a standout this past weekend and she is poised to lead all season long.

[player_tooltip player_id='221661' first='Cazaria' last='Britt'] was a standout over the weekend and really showed a lot of versatility and athleticism. Britt is the combination of a three and four and showed more than three over the weekend. Britt, knocked down several threes, including an impressive step-back three under pressure. She also ran the floor well and scored numerous buckets in transition, including a few coast-to-coast layups. Britt was also a beast on the boards and in the press. Her length, speed, and athleticism make up a great skill set. She is poised to help lead her young teammates throughout the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1003868' first='Israel' last='Hart'] made some nice players and was the veteran player on her team. The Senior guard had some good handles and and change of direction. Hart's forte was relentlessly taking the ball to the rim and scoring or drawing the fouls. Hart played a physical style and didn't mind taking and dishing a hit to the opposition. Hart was equally aggressive on the defensive end, playing physically and aggressively against the opposing guards.
