We're nearing the end of coverage from the PGH Freshman Showcase that tipped off a week ago today. Today, we'll look at everyone from Team Eight and the notes I had on them.

[player_tooltip player_id='890590' first='Gabrielle' last='Guerrero']

In the game I saw, Guerrero wanted to move the ball with a purpose and move the defense around, which she did well. Throughout the game, she looked more comfortable on the offensive end of the floor. Gurrero, a St. Mary Catholic Zephyr, has a lead guard mentality of wanting to get everyone involved. Her group felt more connected when Guerrero was firing passes all over the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='986802' first='Lauren' last='Loucks']

The Algoma wing made some plays off the bounce in the minutes I watched. Loucks is a physical kid who can power through defenders to get to the basket, and in isolation, she played to her strength. The Wolves' newcomer got to the rim well and did an excellent job finishing around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='891016' first='Grace' last='Ruys']

We've a few 5'7 or 5'8 guards with plenty of length and used it to play taller than their listed height. Ruys is a 5'8 guard who used that length to generate discomfort for her assignment on the defensive end of the floor. The Hortoville guard was also a willing shooter from the perimeter and showed some flashes off the dribble. Her length as a guard will help her get on the floor if she can keep utilizing that physical toolset of hers on the defensive end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='874984' first='Abriella' last='Terry']

The Waukesha South newcomer plays as many before her in Waukesha have. Terry is an undersized forward who wants to attack the basket off the dribble. She's a physical who can handle the ball and power through traffic. I loved her aggression in attacking the basket. Terry's ability to exploit mismatches was evident and a significant reason why she'll earn some minutes this season for the Waukesha North/South Co-op.

[player_tooltip player_id='891343' first='Anya' last='Hasser']

Floaters are aesthetically pleasing shots, and Hasser has a solid one. Her ability to finish around the rim over the top of players trying to block her shows how much poise she has in her game. However, I loved how well she cut and her ability to get in a ball handler's line of vision so they could see her wide open under the basket. The Pulaski guard used her body well to create space to get her shot off around the rim. Hasser isn't a ball-dominant kid, but she can make things happen with the ball in her hands.
