The Expo: Team Seven Breakdown

We continue to break down each team from The Expo this past weekend in Bellevue, highlighting every player that attended the event. Let's take a closer look at the players who made up team seven.    She was a lightning rod with the ball, streaking down the length of the court, navigating defenders and getting to the rim for tons of buckets. She could not be cut off 1v1, and after attacking the hoop for most of the first game, she started dropping in threes, finishing 4-for-5 from distance in that game. Just an aggressive player with an eye for the hoop.     Had some good size for a perimeter player and looked really good from 3-point range. Did a good job getting up and down the court, filling lanes in transition, and continually moving in the halfcourt to find space and stretch the defense. Also used that length inside and showed some good versatility.     Strong guard who got dowhill and had an eye for passing on the move. Was able to attack gaps and get by the initial defender with some hard rips, and then dodged secondary defenders with varied pickups and good footwork.     Solid player with a well-rounded game and some size to play around the paint. Showed some good court vision passing from different spots and did a great job facing up to see the whole floor and make plays.     Post player who was excellent moving off the ball, timing her cuts, and was ready to attack different areas. Worked with give-and-go's, dives down the middle, flashes up high and to either block, and was one of the more active players overall at The Expo.     She came with some good work defensively, collapsing from the help side to help on paint touches, and keeping her hands up and ready that led to some tips. Showed good hustle to loose balls and did a good job of getting back in transition to stop breaks.     Showed good strength along the perimeter with quick rip thru's and attacked defenders with good angles on her intital step. Mixed up her attacks with drives and pull-up jumpers and looked pretty solid creating space efficiently.     One of the more skilled players, not just posts, at the event. Mills was dominant inside with a combo of strength, footwork, and touch, but the biggest aspect that stood out for someone at her position was her able to handle the rock. She was calm down low, waiting for the right time to make her move, and was poised along the perimeter, allowing her to make some plays passing the ball.
