Payton Mills Payton Mills 6'2" | PF Lynden | 2026 State WA , a 6’2 forward out of Lynden High School had an impressive game. Scoring 20 points and lighting it up from behind the arc, Payton had 4 threes and a shooting range that left everyone in the gym raving about her. 

Her size allows her to have a strong presence on the court and she can really get after it on the boards.  Payton is committed to going to the University of Hawaii next year. 

Payton Mills Payton Mills 6'2" | PF Lynden | 2026 State WA brought a complete, all-around presence to Lynden’s lineup. A versatile scorer with the ability to impact the game on both ends, Mills used her length and physicality to control the glass, highlighted by a 14-rebound performance against Deer Park. Beyond scoring, she stood out as a willing passer and high-IQ player who consistently made the right play. Her all-around skill set and toughness made her a cornerstone for Lynden.

Mills delivered a strong interior performance with six points and 14 rebounds. She controlled the glass and helped Lynden dominate the rebounding battle 43-26.

Her presence inside created second-chance opportunities and helped the Lions control the pace of the game.

Mills has been Lynden’s most dominant force this season. She leads the team in scoring at 14.0 points per game and in rebounds at 7.6 per game. Her efficiency inside the paint and ability to finish through contact give Lynden a reliable interior presence. Mills also contributes as a playmaker, averaging over two assists per game, which helps keep the offense balanced.

I have been watching Payton for a few years now, attending local Lynden games to see her skills. She is a player who does it all on the court. She fights for rebounds, hustles for loose balls, sets fantastic screens, and hits the deep shot at a very high percentage. She’s headed to the University of Hawaii to play D1 basketball. 

Payton’s ability to play both inside and out, she excels at knocking down deep shots with remarkable accuracy and showcases elite footwork in the paint to secure easy buckets. Defensively, Payton is a force, protecting the paint effectively while maintaining high-level defensive intensity. Her versatile skill set and competitive drive will undoubtedly elevate the Hawaii program in the future. 

Mills paired perfectly with Parcher to give Lynden one of the most dangerous duos in the conference. A First Team All-Conference selection, she averaged 15.1 points and 9 rebounds per game while shooting over 50% from the field and 35% from three. Her versatility as a scorer allowed her to impact the game inside and out, and her rebounding and physicality set the tone on both ends. A willing passer and high-IQ player, Mills consistently made the right play and provided veteran leadership for a championship-caliber team.

Payton is one of the best bigs in the whole state and her ability to stretch the floor and hit the deep shot is what sets her apart from others. She runs the court in transition nicely, filling lanes and being able to finish smoothly. She can drive from the wing efficiently and has the handles to break down slower defenders. She is a big reason for the Lions success on the court.
