The point guards are flooded with a slew of different skillsets that are all adjustable and make a great impact on the game. The leading players at the position help facilitate the game, but they're all elite floor generals. This is one of the most talented classes from top to bottom and the players mentioned are a part of the reason why. Below are the top 5 point guards in the class entering the new schoolyear.

[player_tooltip player_id='273929' first='Christina' last='Pham'] (2025) | 5'7 PG | Nobles & Greenough

Christina could very well be the most skilled player in the class. The production, IQ, experience and natural ability reflect well on the floor. A true 3-level scorer that can put up big scoring outputs, however, she's one of the best distributors around. She showcases her full potential and exercises the ability to have a major influence over games on the biggest stages. The minuscule details like the ball manipulation skills she shows while in tight spaces allow her to dribble with full freedom. She has a complete arsenal of moves that will put the best defenders on skates, but the most impressive skill is her capability to find offense for herself and others in the halfcourt sets. Most players with such an advanced skillset could get caught up over dibbling or playing a style that isnt condsive to winning. Under no circumstance does Christina play the wrong way. She keeps her teammates engaged by feeding them on-target passes in their spots. Defensively, Pham shows true grit by guarding players head up. She will pick up the best ballhandlers from halfcourt or beyond consistently. Star players would shy away from this, but not Christina. She's also a true vocal leader that can help rally the troops. Pham has full control of the game and she is a pleasure to watch. She is on a legendary run and could go down as one of the better true point guards to lace them up from the region.

[player_tooltip player_id='285164' first='Camdyn' last='Nelson'] (2025) | 5'8 PG | St. Luke's

The uber athletic Syracuse commit has enough energy to fuel an entire team. She has quick and lightning-fast dashing steps that keep her running at a different pace than most of her competitors. There's fast, but then there's Camdyn. She's flying around the court with her blazing speed which allow her to get to the basket, make tough passes to shooters on the perimeter or even dump passes off to bigs. She has an elite change of speed and direction dribble that can free up space for her to be able to operate. Nelson is a solid shooter, but that is secondary to the high-level attacks to the basket. Camdyn is an excellent defender, especially in the open floor. She uses her speed to get in front of dribblers and poke the ball free. Nelson is looking to make plays on the ball at all times. A real defensive disrupter. The St. Luke's is coming as the #2 point guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='296964' first='Saige' last='Youngberg'] (2025) | 5'6 PG | Worcester Academy

Saige is coming in as the #3 ranked player at the position. Her versatility at the position is exceptional. Youngberg brings great shooting, astounding dexterity as a facilitator and she's one of the better team defenders. Saige can shoot from various spots on the floor from great range. She extends the defense and requires them to have to engage her from way beyond, thus making it that much easier for her to run offensive sets for early offense. With defenders out of their natural spots it allows Youngberg to assess scenarios before carving into the defense. She hits players in their shooting pockets and loves to get others involved. As a defender, Saige is constantly in the right spots which lead her to getting her hands on the ball plenty of times throughout the game. She traps the ball at key points of the floor like no other and denies passes to entry points. Youngberg is outstanding talent at the point guard position.

[player_tooltip player_id='368851' first='Kaila' last='Richards'] (2025) | 5'7 PG | Hotchkiss

Richards is a dynamic player that can leave a massive impression on the game with stellar scoring outputs and lock down defense. A true 2-way player that gets points from athletic takes to the rim that include blazing spin moves in transition, tricky hop-steps, up & unders and a solid pull up midrange jump shot. She gets to her spots with ease. Rarely does Richards get caught up with pesky defenders. She uses her sharp handle to ward off opponents and aggressively attacks defender's feet. Kaila is a shrewd defender herself that can work solo disrupting ballhandlers or within the defensive scheme. She seems to embrace the tall tasks of guarding some of the most talented players on the opposing team. Richards stops the ball at the point of attack and coupled with her natural athleticism, it makes her one of the best defenders at the top of the class. Hotchkiss has one of the best 2-way players at the position in a lead role this season.

The SNHU commit is an all-around type of player that excels at many things on the court. Sydney brings valid 3-level scoring, court awareness and has mastered the ability to control the pace of the game. She serves as a great scoring option by herself or within the flow of the offense. Gerossie has skillful handle that helps her create angles to the basket that require secondary attention at the rim. Defenders need to step up once Sydney penetrates, but she has next level finishing ability from tough angles and gets off the ball quickly. Gerossie evenly distributes the ball to her teammates. Sometimes point guards can miss their bigs in the shuffle of the offense, but that's not in Sydney's game. She is constantly looking to feed post from entry passes or dump passes. The control over the tempo is a skill that really separates Gerossie from others at the position. She is comfortable in a variety of different scenarios a team will find themselves in throughout a game. Sydney is a point guard that a lot of coaches would want to run their team. The Pinkerton guard is a great selection for the top players at the position.
