Saige has been phenomenal all season long, but with the stakes raised her impressive playstyle has proved to be even more exceptional. She sets teammates up with excellent passes to get their shots off and drops off terrific assists in the lane for others right by the rim. The ability to evenly distribute the ball around while facilitating high-powered offense is a skill that can’t go overlooked. In route to winning the AA championship this year, Saige’s reliability has been leaned upon heavily. The steadiness shown throughout the season has been a staple for the Hilltoppers and has carried over when it most counts.

Worcester just earned the #2 spot in the NEPSAC tournament as well as a bye. Although they have a plethora of high caliber players that’ve lent a hand in the successful season, Youngberg is one of the frontliners of the squad. She deserves credit for the consistency as she led her team to triumph. The senior guard is a phenomenal playmaker that has a pass-first mentality. Her willingness to pass the ball leads to great offensive flow. Saige’s handle is crafted well and her setup moves leave defenders unsure of themselves. Youngberg creates tough angles that are hard for any caliber of defender to recover from. Excited to see how she contributes to the postseason push.

Saige is coming in as the #3 ranked player at the position. Her versatility at the position is exceptional. Youngberg brings great shooting, astounding dexterity as a facilitator and she’s one of the better team defenders. Saige can shoot from various spots on the floor from great range. She extends the defense and requires them to have to engage her from way beyond, thus making it that much easier for her to run offensive sets for early offense. With defenders out of their natural spots it allows Youngberg to assess scenarios before carving into the defense. She hits players in their shooting pockets and loves to get others involved. As a defender, Saige is constantly in the right spots which lead her to getting her hands on the ball plenty of times throughout the game. She traps the ball at key points of the floor like no other and denies passes to entry points. Youngberg is outstanding talent at the point guard position.

Saige is more of the prototypical and pass first point guard. Shes also a scorer’s best friend. Youngberg has impeccable passing skills that hit her teammates accurately on the move as well as hitting stationary shooters in their pocket. The rotation she gets on full court passes is a sight to be seen. A truly magnificent passer that loves to get others involved throughout the game. She spreads the ball around the floor evenly and runs through her sets which allows for all the options to unfold. Youngberg uses her quick foot speed to outrun defenders to get to her spots, never overdribbling the ball. She is also a precise 3-point shooter that can let it fly from deep. Saige is a prominent defender that cuts players off from their direct angles. She great at guard-to-guard screens because of her ability to switch, but in addition she is able to fight over screens to get back to the ballhandler with her speedy first step. Youngberg denies the ball and plays the passing lanes. She also has the skill of disrupting the ability to get out in transition. Saige is a point guard that can really help facilitate a team on both ends at the next level. Watch for her in Hamilton, Ohio this upcoming weekend.
