With tryouts a little over a month away, we take a look at the returning All-County players in Bergen County who look to continue their dominance in the NJ girls' basketball world.

1st Team

[player_tooltip player_id='414399' first='Celina' last='Bussanich'] - Pascack Valley - Class of 2025

A true floor general for Pascack Valley, Celina did it all for her team last year. She led the team in scoring and 3-pointers. She dictates the offense, sets her teammates up for easy baskets and cuts hard to the rim when off the ball. She went over 1,000 points late in her junior year and should eclipse 1,500 career points and 250 3-pointers in her final season with the team. Just as much of a threat off the bounce as she is at the arc, Celina is a tough mark for opposing teams and all of their top players return from last year's 16-11 team.

[player_tooltip player_id='559047' first='Lexi' last='Carnegie'] - Teaneck - Class of 2026

After a monster freshman year, Lexi was on her way to another big season for Teaneck before tearing her ACL. She had 8 double doubles in 13 games as a sophomore. Assuming she starts the season healthy, Lexi will easily go over 1,000 career points, 500 rebounds, 250 steals and 200 assists in her junior season. She plays with elite athleticism and is near impossible to contain when she drives off the wing. Her jumper continues to improve, and she is one of the top defenders in Bergen County and absolutely lethal at the top of the Teaneck press. Her production will be needed for Teaneck to win a 3rd straight North 1 Group 3 Sectional Championship and she will continue to earn D1 offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='600897' first='Gabriella' last='Mittelman'] - Demarest - Class of 2026

As the PG for a 21-8 Demarest squad, Gabriella led her team in assists and steals. She was also 2nd on the team in scoring. In her junior year she will go over 1,000 career points, 300 rebounds, 300 assists, 200 steals and 100 3-pointers. She commands the offense, can shoot it with range and can has the quickness to get to the rim and finish. Her handle is tight, and she moves the ball very well in transition finding teammates for easy baskets. Defensively, she has good anticipation off the ball and quick feet allowing her to stay in front of the top guards.

[player_tooltip player_id='414409' first='Morgan' last='Sconza'] - River Dell - Class of 2025

Morgan is the leader for a River Dell team that finished 17-8 last year. She is a crafty PG with a strong mid-range and pull up game. She can shoot it from deep and knows how to run an offense. The Georgian Court commit has a physical presence at the guard position. She moves well without the ball, is not afraid to get inside and has the strength to finish through contact. Her physical presence carries over to the defensive end where she bodies up top backcourt players.

[player_tooltip player_id='414430' first='Allie' last='Shenloogian'] - Park Ridge - Class of 2025

Allie was the clear leader for the 23-5 Park Ridge Owls who won the North 1 Group 1 Sectional Championship last season. She is instant offense and will not only go over 2,000 career points this season but finish her career as one of the top 50 all-time leading scorers in NJ girls basketball history. She will also go over 400 career steals and 300 assists and has a shot to get 600 career rebounds. Allie can score from the arc and in the mid-range game. She finishes well at the rim in transition and is always on the attack on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='333330' first='Faith' last='Williamson'] - Saddle River Day - Class of 2025

Faith will step into the spotlight on her own this season for Saddle River Day. She was part of a 3-headed monster last year and with 2 graduations she will lead the way as Saddle River Day goes after a 9th straight Bergen County Championship. The Johns Hopkins commit is 1 point away from 1,000 career points. She will finish her career with 300 rebounds, 250 3-pointers, 250 assists and 150 steals. Faith is a long-range threat and does not need a lot of space to get her shot off. She has improved her downhill attack making her a hard guard for even the top defenders in Bergen County.

2nd Team

[player_tooltip player_id='559136' first='Camden' last='Epstein'] - Ramapo - Class of 2026

Camden led Ramapo in scoring as a sophomore for a team that finished 24-4. She will go over 1,000 career points in her junior year as well as 100 3-pointers, 200 rebounds and 100 assists. A player with multiple D1 offers, Camden is a strong 3-point shooter with range, and she is a strong finisher at the rim in transition. Though she projects as a 2 on the next level she handled the bulk of the PG duties for Ramapo last season. In the halfcourt she shows a strong floater game and is a high % FT shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='871893' first='Angelina' last='Tirado'] - Demarest - Class of 2025

Angie splashed on the scene in her 1st season with Demarest. She scored in double figures in 28 of 29 games and had 20 or more 14 times. The senior picked up a D1 offer this summer and will look to lead Demarest to a sectional championship. In just 2 years at Demarest, she is likely to achieve 1,000 career points, 100 3-pointers, 300 rebounds and 100 steals. She is a physical player that can stick it from deep, use her body to attack the rim and back people down in the post.

[player_tooltip player_id='333354' first='Sofia' last='Valente'] - IHA - Class of 2025

Sofia scored more points in her junior year than her combined total from her 1st two seasons. She scored double figures in 23 of 26 games and hit 65 3-pointers as a junior. The Lafayette commit will go over 1,000 career points, 150 3-pointers, 300 rebounds and 100 assists in her final campaign at IHA. She is at her best spotting up at the 3-point line to be on the receiving end of a drive and kick or working off screens to get free for open long balls.

[player_tooltip player_id='601348' first='Mia' last='Vergel De Dios'] - Glen Rock - Class of 2026

Mia put up a solid sophomore season. She led Glen Rock in scoring with just under 10ppg. Glen Rock finished with a 20-7 record and finished the season as the runner-up in the North 1 Group 2 Sectionals. An undersized forward, Mia is a creative finisher with her back to the basket. She has a wide array of post moves and shows good patience on the block. She has a strong pull game, and she is comfortable shooting it at the 3-point line. When she doesn't have the chance to score, she shows very good vision as a passer.

3rd Team

[player_tooltip player_id='525311' first='Ava' last='Burke'] - Pascack Valley - Class of 2025

Ava is the inside game to pair with [player_tooltip player_id='414399' first='Celina' last='Bussanich'] on the outside. She plays with great length and is active inside for Pascack Valley. After averaging 13+ppg as a junior and scoring in double figures in 21 of 27 games, Ava should go over 1,000 career points this season. Her length and athleticism give her a great advantage on the defensive end where she can defend multiple positions and contest shots while being an effective rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id='677735' first='Harper' last='Cohn'] - Mahwah - Class of 2027

Harper made an instant impact as a freshman for the Mahwah Thunderbirds. She finished her 1st season with a team high 39 3-pointers. She was 2nd in scoring and in steals for a team that went 21-8 under new coach Kerin Roche. With their leading scorer having graduated, Harper will be asked to do even more as sophomore as her team looks to compete for a North 1 Group 2 Sectional Championship. She has a confident 3-point stroke, changes tempo well and finds ways to finish in the lane.

[player_tooltip player_id='871281' first='Catie' last='Klemm'] - Ridgewood - Class of 2026

After playing sparingly as a freshman, Catie stepped up and became Ridgewood's leading scorer as a sophomore. A 5'10" guard, Catie adds length and quickness to the backcourt. She led the team in scoring and 3-pointers while finishing 2nd in steals. She plays fast and is not afraid to pull from long range. Defensively, she has the speed to stay in front of opposing guards and the length to guard forwards while being an aggressive rebounder. Another year of development should bring more consistency to her scoring.

[player_tooltip player_id='564268' first='Toni' last='Pernetti'] - Ramapo - Class of 2026

Toni was undoubtedly Ramapo's most versatile player and defensive leader all season. Offensively she averaged 10+ppg and did it with range beyond the 3-point line, driving finishes, a strong back to the basket game and relentless effort on the offensive glass. A player with multiple D1 offers, she led Ramapo in assists and routinely filled up the stat sheet. Defensively, she is simply one of the top all-around defenders in NJ. She guarded 1-5 last year, shadowing the top offensive player on every team and holding fellow All-County players Layla Giordano, [player_tooltip player_id='559047' first='Lexi' last='Carnegie'], and [player_tooltip player_id='333354' first='Sofia' last='Valente'] to their 2nd lowest scoring outputs of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='414429' first='Katie' last='Reiner'] - Becton - Class of 2025

Katie scored it at a high rate for a 19-7 Becton squad. She hit 79 3-pointers and averaged over 18ppg. Already well over 1,000 career points, Katie has an outside shot at 2,000 career points, 200 assists and 200 steals. She will also end her career with 300 3-pointers and 400 rebounds. She finished with multiple 3-pointers in 22 of 26 games and had ten 20-point games including a season high 34 against Lodi. She will finish her career having led Becton in scoring for all 4 years of her career.

[player_tooltip player_id='601407' first='Mackenzie' last='Vellis'] - Rutherford - Class of 2026

Mackenzie was the leader for her 21-6 Rutherford team that won the Bergen County Invitational Tournament and got bounced from the North 2 Group 2 Sectionals by eventual Group 2 runner-up Madison HS. With just 13 3-pointers on the season, Mackenzie did her damage inside the arc. She has length and can finish inside, and her athleticism was on full display in a 16-point effort in the Bergen County Invitational Championship game.
