2024- Returning Players to Watch

'25 [player_tooltip player_id='801448' first='Savannah' last='Hamilton'] (PG, SG)- Savannah will be returning as our leading scorer and second year captain. She has been a major piece of the puzzle in rebuilding this program. Whether on the offensive or defensive side she gives everything she has. She has grown into a tremendous leader as well. She has received multiple D3 offers. (Below on defense, Featured Photo)

'25 Cordelia Watkins (F)- Cordy has continued to improve her inside game, while also continuing to work on her outside shot. She has become an inside-out player, not just one pigeon holed as a "post" player. Cordy will also be a second year captain for the Lady Comets.

More Players to Know/Breakout Potential

'25 Lindsay Russell (F)- Even though this will be her first year playing organized basketball in high school, she is no stranger to the game. Her natural athleticism, size, and work ethic will make her a nice addition to the rotation. She has stepped in already as a great teammate throughout the summer/fall.

'25 Dakota Unrue (G)- Dakota has paid her dues, working hard for her minutes. She can get hot from the outside and has heart along with a great motor.

'26 Heidi Myers (G)- Heidi played some varsity playing minutes as a sophomore last year. After a strong offseason, she will be battling for one of the three starting positions from our departed seniors. Her outside shot has really come along and she brings defensive intensity.

'27 Audra Thompson- Audra also began to grab minutes on varsity the second half of the season as freshman last year. A pure athlete that is extremely coachable. She is strong and fast. Her shot is coming along nicely. She is your prototypical team player and has a very bright future.

Underclassmen to Watch/Breakout Potential

'28 Izabella Bueno- Bella should be able to come in as a freshman and help us right away after a strong summer and fall. A steady outside shooter and quick to the basket. As she progresses, she will be more and more of an asset on both ends of the floor.

'28 Kassidy Gunnell- Kass essentially comes in with the ability to play the 1-5. Extremely long, athletic, and coachable, Kassidy will help our rotation and has a ton of upsides that will gain attention as her career progresses.

Both of these freshmen could be a very strong core for the future of this program.

2024 Games to Watch

As we move on to a new conference, the workload won't be any lighter. There are several new difficult opponents. Some interesting games to watch at this point would be match ups with Westerville North, Washington Courthouse, Heath, and H Davidson.

Noteworthy Features of our 2024 Team

The program, with the help of recent alumni that helped build the foundation, has attained our initial vision of a familial, close-knit culture that works hard and works for each other. We hope that translates into wins but we will see with difficult conference/conference games. But we sure will get in the ring and give the best we can.
