Ohio Team Preview: Dublin Jerome

We have the ability to play fast this year and have a strong presence in the post. Defense will fuel our offense, as we have scrappy guards! <strong><br></strong><br><strong>2023 Results</strong><br>17-8 last season. Broke Jerome Girls Basketball Team's record for most wins in a single season. A threat in the full court and in the half court. Can go coast to coast with the ball and finish around the rim. Explosive first step with the ball in the half court, can create good looks around the bucket. Can also play with her back to the rim. Has worked on her shot in the off season. A defensive nightmare for other teams. Strong off the ball - A rebounding threat and a physical screener. Can shoot from behind the arc, can beat you off the dribble and finish in different ways around the rim, and has solid post-move footwork and finishes with her back to the basket. She is an excellent passer and has a high basketball IQ. She is long and will be tough to match up with. Defensively, [player_tooltip player_id='874993' first='Ashley' last=''] is an aggressive guard around the perimeter. She is also a strong rebounder and is a leader for us. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Meadow Ahijevych - </strong>Junior, PG/Small Forward, 2nd year on Varsity,&nbsp;Returning starter. A menace on the defensive end, can frustrate anybody in the full court. Long and quick, Meadow is suffocating on defense and can use her size and speed just the same on the offensive end. Meadow is capable of running the offense or playing off the ball. She has creative finishes around the rim and can see the floor well to find her teammates.
