After a busy morning, with two 2026s accepting scholarships at the next level, I have some more players to highlight from the PGH Top 250 Expo last weekend. Today, we look at Team Two from the 5v5 portion of the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039228' first='Ava' last='Vogler']

The one thing I've always emphasized about Vogler is how skilled she is on the offensive end of the floor. She can score at all three levels and handle the ball in traffic. She had those traits on display all day in Appleton and made scoring look easy. I also thought she did a tremendous job playing alongside other guards and finding open pockets of space to get shots off. Vogler also has plenty of length for a guard and used that on the defensive end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='878990' first='Allie' last='VanVonderen']

I quickly noticed how badly VanVonderen wanted to push the ball up the floor in transition. The 5'6 guard is a solid athlete who did everything to get her team out and running. One is being an excellent rebounder for a guard. I loved watching her crash the defensive glass, and VanVonderen was one of the top rebounding guards I saw all day. She was an excellent complimentary piece to the best 5v5 group at the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039221' first='Addison' last='Pommerening']

A name people around the Classic 8 should get to know is [player_tooltip player_id='1039221' first='Addison' last='Pommerening']. Due to injuries at Arrowhead, there is a scenario where she finds herself playing crucial minutes this season. Offensively, the Arrowhead wing looked okay and made some extra effort plays on the offensive end of the floor. However, her value comes from how much she does on the floor, which may not go on box scores. She's a solid perimeter defender, finds loose balls, and has the length to force ball handlers to take a second or two to confirm they have a lane to pass the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039251' first='Lyndia' last='Kalumbula']

Wauwatosa East has gathered a talented roster, and Kalumbula has a role to play in a potential deep run for the Red Raiders this season. The rising junior is an excellent athlete and can guard multiple positions on the perimeter. However, if she can get a little more out of herself on the offensive end of the floor this season, there is a world where she could be a kid that defenses have to worry about in a postseason setting. She's been a little consistent over the past year on the offensive end but looked good in Appleton this past weekend.
