Stellar-6 Fall League Semi-Final Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wednesday night <em>George Courtney </em>ran the <strong>Stellar-6 Fall League</strong> featuring some smaller schools to battle it out at Learning Foundation Performing Arts HS in Gilbert. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">I checked out the semi-finals of the event and here were some of the standouts on the night.</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='594250' first='Naylissa' last='Charles'] Coolidge (Pictured left)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A point forward type plays with a physical approach. She scores with catch threes, floaters and strong rip thrus. She has a stronger frame and handles the ball well. She is an advanced passer for position and makes plays for her teammates. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1047060' first='Alanna' last='White'] Coolidge (PIctured right)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A thicker framed sophomore power forward who rebounds everything in her area with strong hands. She often scores thru contact and brings a very physical presence who scores multiple and-1's in heavy traffic.   </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1047029' first='Ja'Niyah' last='Evans'] Learning Foundation Performing Arts&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A tough inside post player with good size. She rebounds well in her area with two hands and will block shots. She is a tad raw but scores it efficiently in the post as she gets many of her points off the glass. She knows how to seal her defender and go to work and has good mobility from end to end.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1047041' first='Temina' last='Rhone'] Learning Foundation Performing Arts</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Only in 8th grade and she plays well beyond her years. She is undersized but plays with a high feel and amazing stamina. She is very quick and fast with the ball in the open court with next level court vision and can score off of threes and jumpers from 10-feet.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1047039' first='Brooklyn' last='White'] Learning Foundation Performing Arts</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A junior point guard is one of their leaders. She scores with catch and shoot threes with nice court vision thru the defense and up the court. She rebounds well in her area and the lefty handles it well in and is tough on the ball defensively to collect steals.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1047026' first='Avery' last='Laduke'] ALA Gilbert</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A pure point guard who will needle thread some beautiful passes with her left or right hand. She is always looking up to make a play. She will slip in a pass into smaller spaces with advanced court vision and up the court ropes or drive and kicks . She scores with blow by layups and smartly changes speeds well and can euro down the lane. She will also pull-up and hit the three.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1047033' first='Alicia' last='Londono'] Horizon Honors</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger sized freshman guard is a fluid ball handler with a good feel for the game. She sees the court for her class and rebounds well for position. She will catch and shoot from the three point line and can pull-up from mid-range. She will also go coast to coast and score in transition.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
