I've been watching footage on Wilson and Conway since last year and finally got to see the team in action earlier this preseason! Mi 'Raiyah is relentless and hard working. She can run the floor and fills the lane quickly as a big. True to her position, #13 can steal long distance passes just like the rest! A great presence in the middle for Coach Hutchcraft, she can also play SF because of her speed and length. This 5'9 forward has a good change of speed in transition along with a soft touch around the rim. In time she'll develop footwork and post moves that will compliment her game, but I'm sure now she's poised in her role and focused on a 6A State Championship!

As an incoming freshman for Bentonville West High School, I see Addison getting some significant minutes. A "Run for the Roses" Champion with her club team AAO Flight, Greeley has smashed the narrative of her being a " Big". I love "students of the game", and one can tell that she studies players moves and adds them to her game! Developing speed and reaction time will come with this hard worker. The class of 2028 guard can be shifty and has a few combo- moves in her pocket. "I like her in between behind move that she sets up defenders with. This one can score from anywhere on the court and shoot the 3 out of a dribble move over defenders. A strong confidence lingers around Addison, and she'll wear it well going into high school basketball in 24-25. She won't go unrecognized this year but be on the lookout for Greeley!

The strength in this one is very impressive. Sartor has her middle school's record in shot put with 33'6"! Watching workouts with trainer "Skip", I can see the determination in this sophomore. Faith is a magnet for the ball on defense and boxes out her defenders very well. Most of her blocks came in transition and that's a nod to her speed for her size. Standing a full 6'2, she has quick reaction time and great footwork. Creating space and developing a mid-range shot will come in time, but she can shoot it from 3 if given the space! Her favorite move to do is the step through and she performs it well. Faith won't be under the radar for long and expect to see a lot more from this talented student athlete.

Lexie is a force for Poyen and will make a huge impact this season. She throws "Block Parties" on a regular and expect her not to fall short this season. She's constantly doubled leaving her teammates open and should work on passing and creating some post moves to free up space. I watched a brief clip of her having 3 blocks versus Bismark and she also had 10pts and 8 rebounds. Bunch will be noticed in her senior year so be on the watch for this one!

The most talented player her height in this list is Abby K. Standing like a tree at 5'11, Koenig delivers the total package for Fayetteville High. This power forward can run the floor and shoot threes! She's great at creating her own shot off the dribble and that can be problems opposing "Bigs" matching up against her. If the defense chooses to protect the paint and let her shoot the 18-footer, she'll take a step back and drain it from 20 feet. She's on the right recruiting path attending Wichita State's prospect camp as well as several other Universities. She embraces the fact the game is becoming positionless and adapts very well playing against quicker defenses. Working on her mid-range and dribbling aspects of her game are in the process. Koenig is looking to make some "Noise" in 24 -25 so keep her on your radar!

I've only written about a few post players, but these select few have great skill sets and work ethics that will position them to be successful. The Under the Radar series will continue throughout the season and upcoming coverage of Central Arkansas' Girls High School Basketball Kick Off. Stay Tuned!
