Welcome to High School Basketball: A New Era Awaits!

Hey 2028 class, welcome to high school basketball! I love that we have a new crop of young ladies who will be earning their stripes this coming season. In less than two weeks, these young ladies will be throwing on their practice uniforms and getting ready to ball out for their prospective clubs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For the next four years, we will be following a lot of new kids' careers as they navigate this high school basketball platform. Ladies don't worry, it's going to be a fun ride. Ask the girls that came before you. There will be many highs, some lows, great moments, and moments to learn from. You will lose some, win some, but all in all, you will become a part of a rich fabricated tradition of women's basketball in the state of Tennessee. My advice to you, just like Mrs. Cindy Lauper, go have some fun ladies. These next four years will be some of the best times in your life. Quick floor general who will be asked to come in and fill in a void for a hungry Lady Lions club. Sarah Logan is a downhill threat that can get paint touches. She will look to run the offensive system efficiently, then turn around and play solid defense. This kid can fill it up on all 3 levels. I love how she can space the floor, and then cut to a gap to receive a pass that enables her to shoot or drive to the rim. This kid is gritty on the defensive end. She will sit down and guard, dive for loose balls, and sacrifice herself to take a charge. Offensively, she will be asked to dial it up from deep. She is pretty consistent from 3, however if you run her off the line, she will unleash a solid pull up game. Defensively she can play on or off the ball. She Has fast twitch hips that enable her to stay in front of the opposition. Look for her to contribute to a solid Lady Eagles ball club. A hard working individual who just loves to hoop. No matter the setting, she is a tough competitor who does all the little things right. She's a good shooter from the field with a high basketball IQ. Smart defender who doesn't mind doing the hard things. She's an absolute dawg and she gets after it each and every possession. Don't let the size fool you, she is a true go-getter and has a knack for being around the ball. Plays the game with a high energy, she is a solid two-way player who gets the job done. Look for her to step in and contribute early for Kirkwood. I love her intensity and her mental aspect on how she approaches the game.
