[player_tooltip player_id='755029' first='Raeann' last='Massey'] was someone that stepped onto the Varsity floor and made her mark as a Freshman last Winter. Massey competes from the guard position, moving mainly around the 1, 2, or 3 positions on a nightly basis. From everything I've seen, she is more of natural 2 or 3 but it's not like she isn't a solid ball-handler, who could run the offense of her team if need be. During her debut season 12 months ago, Massey stepped up and helped her team each contest. She was someone that was willing to take important shots in big moments and that confidence she has displayed is going to be even greater this upcoming season. This is a player that will be a leader for her Fort Calhoun program for years to come by the looks of it and I'm sure she is ready to handle that pressure thoroughly.

[player_tooltip player_id='1055675' first='Lindee' last='Kelley'] of Cross County High School was the second ranking player in the state last season at the end of the year in CPG or Charges Per Game with 0.5. This number might not standout to everyone but it is very noteworthy. It means that she recorded a charge basically every other game and that is kind of crazy when you think about it. Not only is it impressive from a statistic perspective but what it really takes to make this happen is understanding the opponent and what they want to do. Kelley will return this Winter for her Senior season in attempts to help lead her program. She will be in a leadership position so now she just has to leave care to the wind and make things happen in real time.

Wayne High School ran a zone defense in the past and that has helped them record a better than average number of steals, tips/deflections, and Charges. With how they run their system, it can create some chaos for opposing programs and that's always a positive. Someone that has really eaten off this opportunity so far is PG/SG - [player_tooltip player_id='758858' first='Reagan' last='McGuire']. McGuire has always played the top of their zone and she is great at knowing when to go for a steal compared to sitting back and playing her part. The interesting thing is that her team seems to like the zone look but she does rank as a top returner in the state for CPG. McGuire really is all about the wellness of the team. She wants to do well for the others around her and that shows every time she takes the court.

I have mentioned Omaha - Mercy High School a few times this off-season because of the prospects that they are going to have return this Winter. Another one that opens some eyes is [player_tooltip player_id='895677' first='Reagan' last='Brekel'] at the guard position. Not only is Brekel an astute competitor, her smarts help her keep things easy and successful. Offensively, she takes what the defense gives her and doesn't try to do anything crazy. Defensively, she gets to the spot before her opponent and that helps her record Charges on a consistent basis. Something that most prospects can't say at any level throughout their career.
