Class B Players to Watch : Early Slate

Several of the familiar Class B powers are in action in Week 1 and 2, including a big matchup between Lomega and Dover. The Hammon Lady Warriors will be striving for another Gold Ball in [player_tooltip player_id='654574' first='Henley' last='West']'s final season, after winning it all her sophomore year. Henley had a busy summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='712752' first='OK' last='Swarm'], and recently picked up a huge offer from Minnesota. Henley held offers already from Abilene Christian, Stephen F. Austin, Butler, and Missouri State. Wherever the talented 6'4'' post ends up will be lucky to get her. Hard to keep her from scoring on inbounds plays, goes and gets lobs passes like a pro. Saw Lomega play several games this summer at Kingfisher Team Camp, and thought she was already the best player on the court a lot of times, against very tough competition. Talented left handed shooter than can score at different levels. Very good on the glass as well. Buffalo Valley won 19 games last year. They dropped their first game of the year to last year's State Tournament squad Red Oak, but look to rebound against Leflore on Tuesday. I was able to see some film from the Red Oak game, Tristyn was able to get a couple really tough And-1's and hit some deep 3's in a tough loss.
