As we get into the high school season this next week, we are going to start to see more and more offers or commitments out of prospects as it has to do with their college recruitment. This is a normal trend for this time of the year as a lot of players are taking visits on campus and doing what they can to lock in their futures.

Bennington High School is going to put together a really successful Varsity season if they lock in mentally and they put together a solid game plan, each and every night. We have talked about how their underclassmen group is going to be crucial to their goals but the upperclassman are also going to have a say in that. Players like [player_tooltip player_id='897559' first='Presley' last='Baca'] at the SF position, along with others. Baca is the state's most recent college commit, posting that she will be attending Concordia (NE) following this year. I'm sure she is focused on the season at hand now and prepared to give it her all. There is always a lot of pressure before committing so now that it's over, I'm sure she is in a better place mentally and that is going to help Bennington this upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1057731' first='Macie' last='Eidson'] of Pius X is someone that we haven't touched too much on over the last few years but she is prepped for a big Winter ahead. Following this Senior season, Eidson is going to be taking her talents to Benedictine (IL) to continue on her basketball journey and I'm excited to see where she is going to be able to take things. With her natural size at 6'2, her soft touch on the ball, and her ability to control her area within 15FT of the hoop, she should see the floor early on in her collegiate career but that will all come down to their roster at hand, at that point in time.

[player_tooltip player_id='929132' first='Abriya' last='Watkins'] has recently signed to compete with DMACC out of Des Moines next season but I'm sure she is focused on the here and now. Watkins is a shifty CG, that plays with a calculated aggression, a shifty first step, and a willingness to squabble up with anyone that might want to step in her way. I didn't see Watkins on the AAU road this Spring but I heard she put together a season to remember and that checks out as she was getting steady interest from recruiters, prior to her commitment. DMACC usually has some ballers and knowing the Classes they have coming in, I think Watkins will fit in just perfectly with the group as a whole.

[player_tooltip player_id='766882' first='Jordyn' last='Rohlfsen'] of [program_tooltip program_id='714604' first='Omaha' last='Supreme Basketball'] and Roncalli High School has been a constant over her time on the Varsity floor. Rohlfsen is just one of those players that produces a lot of positives while competing. She has a steady shot, solid footwork, better than average vision, and a willingness to learn from her mistakes. Rohlfsen is going to be competing with Iowa Western CC to start off her college career and who knows where that could take her. If she stacks days and builds on things, step by step, she should end up some solid places before things come to a close down the line but we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
