Opening day pinging from gym to gym is just what I do and have been doing so watching players who have continued to elevate their games has been a plus for me, here's a few I caught before my next article featuring seniors I knew nothing about, but first, here ya go

Foy has been a #D1Lock from the first time I saw her as not only was she "log and athletic" she was a big guard that could drop it from mid to long-range. Range kept getting deeper, she added muscle to overpower smaller guards off the dribble and around the basket. All were in full effect as she scored attacking using either hand while finishing after contact. Her court vision across the board was nice, she rebounded, played defense, and also played the passing lane

Sneed has always been a treat because she falls in that #sizedontmatter group and is an athletic guard who brings IT on both ends of the court. Her "on the ball" pressure created problems and helped to create turnovers but she also did a good job scoring or dishing off the dribble. Her court vision in transition was also a big plus

Vega falls into that gave me a "lasting first impression" group when I first saw her because of her size, college-ready frame, and agility so as she has continued to show "on the court" progression, I'm watching her not only score multiple ways around the basket but the short jumper is looking good, so is her attacking and finishing from the wing. Rebounding, on both ends, as well as defense was also solid

Harmon has STOCK RISER in bold for a reason as she continues to mesmerize me in many ways. Her handling the ball under pressure, and then showing the crossover while going full speed is hard to defend, especially when she can accelerate after slowing down in the blink of an eye. Her body control on her finishes, at times acrobatically, was nice, and so was her jumper

Spencer is one of the smoothest guards in the area because of her ability to put up numbers in the flow. Her pull-up jumper in the set, as well as "stop and pop" in transition, both from mid to long-range is steady and consistently gives the defender problems, especially when she gives the slight HEZ to go by them and score off the dribble

Hampton turned some major corners over the CLUB BASKETBALL season and is on the short list of countless D1 programs. Her skill set and work ethic played a part in it as her "hands and footwork" stood out against some of the top shoe teams which always works because "it's not what you do, it's who you do it against" and she JUST DID IT over and over. Nothing has changed, she's strong around the basket, and on both ends, she also stepped outside the paint to defend, and even played the passing lane
